I was really excited to get my Julep Maven box this month. This month, Julep released their lip gloss. I really love lip gloss, so I got the Modern Beauty Box. This is the first time I have got the Modern Beauty box. Modern Beauty usually doesn’t have any nail polish, so that is why I normally don’t choose it. I was so excited about the lip products this month, I added on two more lip glosses. Modern Beauty Box First Look Lip Products Sample and Information There is always a quote in every box. This month’s quote was “There’s no place like home” by Dorothy Julep also included a holiday gift guide with several new bundles. There was also a sample of Luxe Repair Skin Serum. This is supposed to deeply hydrate your skin and help rebuild skin structure from the inside out. Blank Canvas Plumping Lip Primer This is a primer that plumps, moisturizes, and preps your lips for color. This gave my lips a tingle and reminded me of some Burt Bees lip treatment I have. I love how it makes my lips look and feel. It also has a pail pink color to it.*Update: I didn’t realize it at the time, but my lip primer continued to come out, after using it. It took several clicks to “prime” it, which I didn’t think was unusual. Apparently, it kept coming out, as there was a mess in my lip. It was hard to decide what Julep Maven box to get. I loved the red in Classic with a twist. Anisa. I really wasn’t crazy about the grey-beige color, Winona. I also loved It Girl this month. I decided to stay with Classic with a Twist and trade Winona on a swap board. Julep is $19.95 a month, but the nice part is, you can skip any month. When you sign up, you fill out a style profile, and are assigned to one of five styles: Modern Beauty, It Girl, Bombshell, BoHo Glam, and Classic with a Twist, Every month, BoHo Glam, Bombshell and Classic with a Twist gets 2 polishes and then a beauty/makeup/nail item. It Girl always has 3 polishes. Modern Beauty always get two beauty, makeup, nail care, or skin care items. The Box I like how the add-ons are all in the same box. I was happy to get one of my Citrus Lane boxes so early this month. I normally don’t do the add ons, but I decided to get 2 Adan and Anais swaddlers. Even though my 18 month old is much to big to be swaddled, I liked how large the blankets were. The Adan and Anais blankets were a great deal too, much cheaper than Amazon. If you are not familiar with how add ons work, every month, Citrus Lane offers add on products you can get with your box. This month’s theme for September’s Julep Maven was Cityscape. The theme was centered around the city lights. I almost skipped this month. I have many nail polishes and I didn’t like all of them. I really loved the purple color in Classic with a Twist and Karmen (an add on polish). I decided to go ahead and get this month’s box. I was also really curious about the cleansing oil.
