September Citrus Lane Review and 50% Discount Code
I was happy to get one of my Citrus Lane boxes so early this month. I normally don't do the add ons, but I decided to get 2 Adan and Anais swaddlers. Even though my 18 month old is much to big to be swaddled, I liked how large the blankets were. The Adan and Anais blankets were a great deal too, much cheaper than Amazon. If you are not familiar with how add ons work, every month, Citrus Lane offers add on products you can get with your box. You can use your Citrus Lane credits or you will be charged on your credit card. You will get an email from Citrus Lane when the add ons are available.
This is the box for my 18 month old. I love the extra details in the box this month.
First Look |
The first thing I noticed this month, is the decorative box. Ammo Books provide the printing on this box from American illustrator Charley Harper's coloring book. Children can color the pictures and then pretend play in the pond. T will like coloring. He is still small, so he doesn't have any concept of coloring a specific object, but he enjoys it.
A closer look |
This is a closer look at the artwork in the box. This could be colored and hung in a child's room!
There were 5 different items included in this box. There are also 2 letters that are on every information card. You can cut them out and practice with your child.
Charlie Harper ABC's Board Book $7.96 |
This book is from the late illustrator Charlie Harper. It is beautifully illustrated and I love the graphic art.
A look inside |
T really liked this book. He flipped through the pages and pointed to the animals. This is a beautiful book.
Hape City Planner Blocks $9.99 |
This is a set of colorful blocks. These are a bit small, but L has small toys everywhere, so I am used to watching T closely. T played with this today and was so proud when he could stack them. He actually didn't try to eat them!
Episcencial Playful Wash 3.4 oz (8ozs is $9.00) $4.25 value |
I think this was a special size made for Citrus Lane. There is 3.4 ozs and it is Playful Wash. My little boy has eczema, so I am going to try this on a small area before using it as body wash.
Happy Tot Super Toddler Bars (5 bars for $4.20) .84 cents |
These are sold in packs of 5. T tried this today and liked it. He plopped himself right down on the floor and ate like a big boy. My little boy is growing up so fast.
Julep Gabrielle $14.00 |
This was the mom gift this month. I am starting to see a trend in cross promotion between subscription boxes. I think is a nice. I normally don't care for mom gifts, but this is perfect. It also helps it is my favorite color, purple.
Dark Purple |
If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know I subscribe to Julep. It is a great company and all the nail polish is free from formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, and DBP. If you are interested in finding out more about Julep, you can read my September review HERE.
The Full Box |
Final Thought: This month's Citrus Lane had a total retail value of $37.05. The box costs $25.00 and I feel this is a great value. I actually liked this box before I even knew the value. Every item will be used and enjoyed. Citrus Lane is $25.00 a month. If you are interested in signing up for the first time, click HERE and use the code TAKEHALF to pay only $12.50 for your first box.
