Silly Rhino Review and Discount :November Beta Box

I was really excited to get my son's first Silly Rhino Box.  Silly Rhino is a new subscription box for children 0-4. Silly Rhino is $35.99  month to month, and discounts for longer subscriptions are available. Each month your child will get 4-5 environmentally friendly safe toys, personal care products, gear and accessories for your child. The owner of Silly Rhino is in a subscription box group with me, and I was very excited to see someone I knew, start their own box company.
The Details:
Cost: $35.99 a month, $34.99 a month for 3 months and $33.99 a month for 6 months
Coupon: Use the code iheartrhino to save 10%
What's in the box? From Silly Rhino:
“You can expect each box to include four to five products for your baby and sometimes a surprise for you. All products are tailored to your child’s age and stage of development. At Silly Rhino, we try not to gender discriminate, so we concentrate on items that will work for both boys and girls, but that does not mean we would ever send pink bows to your manly little guy, promise.”
Age Breakdowns:  When you order, you will choose between 0-1, 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4.
How do I cancel? You can cancel right from your account (I love that)
When will I get my first box? Beta boxes (November boxes) are being shipped by Fedex between the 20-22nd of November.  Starting in December, you must order by midnight on the 5th of the month, to receive that month's box.
When am I billed?  You are billed the day you sign up and every 30 days from the day you sign up thereafter .  If you sign up on Nov 21st, you will be billed again Dec 21st.  3 and 6 month subscriptions are billed at the time of purchase.  When your 3 or 6 months is up, your account will revert to month to month
I received the 3-4 age boy Silly Rhino box
The Box
I love the blue box with the Rhino on the side.  Silly Rhino got it's name from the owner's son Luka, you can read the whole story HERE.
Awesome in a Box
I like to feature more views of boxes, especially when the box is so cute.
The Information Card
The information card was filled with details about each product, complete with pictures and retail value.
First Look
This box was packed with goodies
Rhino by Anamalz $11.00
AnaMalz Rhino – This happy faced Rhino is Australian designed and measures 9cm in height and 8cm in length. She has a moveable head and flexible rope legs. Her cute little ears are made from felt and she has a rope tail.
She loves: .lasagna, tapdancing jurassic park, coloring your day
You child can use the code on the Rhino's tag and log into the animal world to play with the rest of the animals.
L loved this the most and stuck it in his pocket right away.
Travel Buddy Elephant Plush Neck Pillow & Blanket by Health and Science Labs $26.99
This elephant is a cute travel pillow with a 30″ by 40″ blanket inside.  This can be used in a car, plane or just as a pillow at nap time. Health and Science Labs also donates a portion of their profits to the Defenders of Wildlife Organization.  L thought the elephant was very cuddly.
The Blanket
The blanket is a nice pretty green color.  It is tucked nicely in the back of the elephants head.
Ten Little Rabbits by Virginia Grossman and Sylvia Long $6.99
Weaving, fishing, and storytelling are all part of this spirited book that celebrates Native American traditions as it teaches young children to count from one to ten. Ideal for storytime or bedtime, and now perfectly sized for toddlers, Ten Little Rabbits is sure to leave children counting rabbits instead of sheep.
I like that this is a story that both  my boys can share and enjoy.  It is a sturdy board book for T and it has counting and cultural educational aspects for L.
A peek inside
I love the beautiful illustrations.
Smart Suds Endangered Species Safari Bath Puzzle and Bubble Bath $10.99
The bubble bath has no parabens, no sulfates, and no dye.  I was excited for the boys to try out the bubble bath.  The boys have sensitive skin and I have to limit bubble baths, do to the ingredients in most bubble baths.  Unfortunately, the bubble bath only created small suds in the water.  L was a bit disappointed, but he liked playing with the foam bath puzzle.  There were several different animals you could punch out of the foam and put together.  It was a great for fine motor skill development.  L made the lion and had fun playing with it in the bath tub.
The Whole Box

Final thought:  This box had a retail value of  $55.97.  I paid $35.99 for the box, so I feel I got a good value for my money.  L loved the wooden Rhino the best.  He also has enjoyed reading the book, sleeping with the pillow and playing with the bath puzzle.  I wish the bubble bath would have worked better, but it isn't a big deal.  I think Silly Rhino did a fantastic job with their fist box.  What do you think?  If you want to join Silly Rhino, click HERE and use the code  the code iheartrhino to save 10%.

November Ashton Kutcher A+ Fancy Box and Discount

My husband C, only gets one box, the Ashton Kutcher A+ Fancy box.  The Ashton Kutcher Fancy A+ Box is $39.00 a month plus $7.95 shipping.  I think every Fancy box is better than the one before.
The Box
The Ashton Kutcher A+ Fancy Box always ships in the same box.
Information Card
This was a change this month.   Usually, you get individual cards for each item with a quote from Ashton.  This month, there is a fold out card and only one quote from Ashton.  I like the new card layout, but I miss having a quote for every item.
Leather Pocket Wallet by Men in Cities
Leather Breast Pocket Wallet by Men in Cities $40.00

This is designed to fit inside a men's jacket pocket.  It has several slots for credit cards or identification.  This is a really nice piece and perfect for C.
All Work and No Play Tablet Case by Gentlemen's Hardware
This box was very cute and I had to feature it. in my post.
Tablet Case by Gentlemen's Hardware
All Work and No Play Tablet Case by Gentlemen's Hardware $50.00
Ashton says ” How we consume the internet and all thing digital is rapidly accelearating – mobility is key.  I reach for my table every morning for my faily fose of news, and keep by my side to stay updated throughout the day.   A functional case is a must when I'm on the go.”
C already has a tablet case, but it is larger and quite heavy.  This is nice for times that C has his tablet at the office or on a business trip.

F1 Airplane Mode Pouch

F1 Airplane Mode Pouch  $18.00

This is a travel case for use especially when you are flying.  You can store snacks, travel cords, your phone and other travel necessities in it.  The pouch is small enough to fit in the seat pocket in front of you.  C probably wouldn't store it in the seat pocket though, I think he might forget it.
The Whole Box
Final Thought: The total value for this box is $108.00.  C liked that everything in this box was useful to him, and not just fun.  C liked the table case the best. I am a bit disappointed that there wasn't a quote by Ashton for the airplane mode bag and wallet.  If you are interested in signing up for The Ashton Kutcher A+ Box or any Fancy box, click HERE.  Use the code FOLLOWUP10 to save 10% on your first box.  What did you think of this month's box?

Julep Diamond Mystery Box Review

I finally decided to buy my first Julep Diamond Mystery Box.  Julep promised a value over $120.00 and someone would even win a pair of diamond earrings.  I only paid $24.99 and figured I would get my money's worth.  I also knew two of the glitter polishes in the box.  Let's see what was in the box.
I used maven pricing for all prices
The Box
First Look
Scrub Mitt $2.99
I had to look this up on the Julep website, as I didn't know what it was.  I think it is a bit odd to be in my box, because I didn't get any body scrub.  Maybe I will gift this some some bath goodies to someone.
Eyelash Curler (Link is part of a set)
This isn't sold seperately on the Julep Maven site.  It is a bit scary looking as an eyelash curler.
Candace (It Girl): Golden Chocolate Microglitter $11.20
Karen (BoHo Glam): Peach Belini Frost $11.20
These are not my favorite colors, but I will gift them to a friend who will like them
Pink Grapefruit Body Frosting $9.99
This is infused with shea butter, organic aloe. vitamin E, and natural oils to soothe dry skin.
Antonia (It Girl): Light pink holographic diamond glitter top coat
Geo (Bombshell):
Lavender holographic diamond glitter top coat
These were the colors that I knew would be in the box.  I love glitter and thing both of the colors are great.
Karmen (Bombshell)Golden crimson microglitter $11.20
Eva (Bombshell)
Raspberry crème $11.20
Lucy (It Girl): Dark Burgundy Creme $11.20
I love Karmen but I already have it.  I will be gifting Karmen and Lucy to a friend.  Eva is gorgeous and one of my favorites.
The Whole Box
Final Thought: Going by the current prices on Julep, the total value was around $91.38 and I didn't get the diamonds.  Maybe Julep meant the retail price of each item before discounts.  I thought the box was okay, but I wasn't blown away.  My favorite items were the body cream, the Eva polish and the glitter polishes.  I felt I received my money's worth, but I don't feel it was over $120.00 worth.  Did you get the Diamond Mystery Box?  What did you think?
