I want to go spoiler free every month for my Citrus Lane, but it never happens. I basically knew everything that would be in my box, before I actually received it. Citrus Lane sends 4-5 products for children from newborn to age five at $25.00 a month. You can get discounts for buying longer subscription too.
The Box
Citrus Lane added snowflakes and changed their yellow to white on the box. It definitely had a winter theme.
Cut Outs
There were different cut outs on the bottom of the box. You can punch them out and use a flashlight to shine shapes on the ceiling.
First Look
Information Card
Citrus Lane includes a complete list of all the items in the box and a description about the product.
I was disappointed when I saw L was getting a watch, because I just bought L a watch. L's watch broke after 3 days (not his fault), so this came at the perfect time!
This is really cute and we don't have this one by Melissa and Doug. L will really like to do this project, because he loves craft and cars.
Barefoot Books
A flyer was included from Barefoot Books thats gave you the Ambassador Starter Kit for $40.00 off. That works out to $139.99 worth of books for $59.99. It is a good deal, but I would rather have a book.
The Whole Box
Final Thought: The total value for this box was $29.58. The cost of the box was $25.00. so I did get a higher value than the cost. I am a bit disappointed. I don't think a 4 year old boy needs lotion and I would love to be introduced to new brands beside Melissa and Doug. I love Melissa and Doug but like discovering new brands. I do know that L will love his watch and car kit this month and I like the hand print kit. Austin Lloyd and Silly Rhino have really impressed me lately, so I hope January's box is great. If you want to try Citrus Lane, you can get $10.00 off your first order HERE.

How do I cancel? You can cancel right from your account (I love that)

When I opened the box, I was surprised that everything was wrapped like a present. It was really cute, and there was even a note that read “May your New Year be decorated with sweet memories, wonderful days, and memorable nights….Have a great year ahead!”
Second Look
I was really excited, just by the look inside the box
Information Card
I like that Silly Rhino includes pictures and descriptions of every product, along with their MSRP. Their information cards are so cute.
These are so awesome. I love that they are shaped like rocks. L doesn't love to color, but he loves rocks. I hope he colors with these! These are all natural soy wax crayons made from USA grown soybeans and colored with mineral pigments. These are also made to strengthen the tripod grip, perfect for handwriting skills.
L will be wearing this for Easter! This is handmade and just adorable. The Etsy shop will open January 1, 2014. Until then, you can go to www.facebook.com/lorastots to order items.
This a wonderful book, cd and cape set. The Super Zeros all have unique powers. This can be used as a teaching tool to teach kids about strengths and weaknesses. My son L loves super heroes and I thinks he is going to love this. The cd comes with songs and narration from New York recording artist Meirav Savyon.
Closer Look
This is everything in the set. This is wonderful and I can't wait to give this to L for Christmas. The book's illustrations are very nicely done.
These puzzles are manufactured in the USA with recycled materials. You can collect other Topozoo animals, and your child can create new animals. I love how sturdy these are, they will not be destroyed by my boys.
The Whole Box
Final Thought: Silly Rhino's December box had a retail value of $64.88 and the cost is only $35.99 a month. This is a wonderful box and I am very glad I subscribed. All the products in the box were very unique. Silly Rhino has really impressed me with the value and quality of their products. A peek inside
This is a peek inside the information guide. Bestowed tells you why they love the product, where to buy it, their social media handles, and tips.
This is perfect for all those yummy holiday foods: roasts, sauces and gravies. There is only water, organic chicken and veggies in this stock. There is also no added salt or seasonings either.
I am not the best cook, but this sounds interested and it is super easy to make. You just mix this with two cups of 100% Greek plain yogurt and refrigerate for 30 mins. The dip is Certified Organic and tasty
Some healthy snacks, just tasty….healthy. I love chips. These cheese fries are really tasty and don't taste like they are only 130 calories, or all natural. These are also made with all non-gmo ingredients and are gluten and wheat free. These are really good!
This is low in sugar and sodium and perfect for a warm meal on a cold day. This looks easy to make, and will be nice to try, on some busy nights. There was also a coupon included (not pictured) for $1.00 off any product.
These were a bit tough to chew, but had a great flavor. I love ginger and sesame seeds. In addition to being great tasting, these clusters have 9 amino acids, are all natural, and gluten free. These also only have 130 calories in 8 pieces.
The Whole Box
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $14.66. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't meet the $19.00 cost, but I think it was filled with some great products. The cheese fries and ginger peanut clusters were my favorite items from the box. You can try Bestowed for only $10.00, just use the code HELLOYUM40. This code expires 12/31. Carnivore Club is a subscription box for meat lovers! I was very excited when Carnivore Club offered me a box to review. Our family loves meat of all kinds. Carnivore Club is based out of Canada, so people in the United States and Canada can get this box! Carnivore Club sends 4 to 6 different selections of cured and smoked meats, charcuterie and jerky from across the planet. All the meat from Carnivore Club comes from independent farms in the Midwest. I love the artisan nature of this box, and that the meat isn't packed with chemicals. It is $50.00 a month, but you can save $10.00 when you use the code “boxmom“, on your first order.
The Details:
Cost: $50.00 a month
Coupon: Use the code “boxmom” to save $10.00 on your first box.
What's in the box? Every month members of the Carnivore Club will receive 4 to 6 different selections of cured and smoked meats, charcuterie and jerky from across the planet
All the meat from this box came from the Smoking Goose in Indiana. You can find them HERE.
The Packaging
The box was shipped in a silver padded envelope, I also believe it is insulated. Everything was well protected.
The Box
I loved the box, it looks like a piece of wood.
First Look
Information Card
The information card includes pictures, names and information about each meat. There is also a monthly paring suggestion. This month, Carnivore Club recommends the 2010 Sofos Red Blend from clubw.com. Salty, porky flavors go great with the Sofos. Carnivore Club included a code so you could get your third bottle free form ClubW.
Ice Pack
Club W included an ice pack with the meat. The ice pack was still cold, along with the meat. C is very particular about food temperature, and he thought the meat was packaged well.
Elk Terrine
From Carnivore Club “Spiked with black peppercorns and wrapped in Smoking Goose's house cured bacon, Cold Smoked Elk Terrine begins with elk raised on wide open pasture at Carley Elk Farm in Atlanta, Indiana. Trimmed by hand, this country style terrine brings layers of flavor after a long, low, and slow cold smoke over fruit wood.”
I have never had pate before this, and I was a bit nervous. The name sounds stranger but it had a great flavor. We had it over crackers and you could take the smoky flavor.
Soppressata
From Carnivore Club: ” A bloomy rind develops as this Sopperssata ages slowly and under the pressure of pressing. The coarsely ground pork salami is about 3 inches in diameter and flecked with ground clove, ginger and nutmeg. Soppressata is a staple of any cured meat lover's daily must haves”
This was one of C and I's favorite meats. I normally don't like salami, but the added spices made this taste very good.
Dodge City
From Carnivore Club ” Named after the neighborhood “Dodge City”, this salami is strewn with fennel pollen and stuffed pink peppercorns for the quick pop of anise. It's a lean giants that is speckled with a quilted patten of back fat. This salami uses all natural sewn casing, keeping with Smoking Goose's commitment to using the best ingredients available to produce great products.”
C and I were not fans of this one, the flavor and texture were just a little too different for us.
Guanciale Pork Jowl
From Carnivore Club: “Heavily spiced with bay leaves, garlic, juniper berries, sea salt, brown sugar, and black peppercorns, these cured hog jowls are more flavorful and densely textured than their belly-cut cousin, pancetta”
Wow, this pork was amazing. C and I both loved this and this was our favorite meat out of the box. We cooked it up and it was fantastic with eggs. I will be ordering more of this!
Delaware Fireball
From Carnivore Club ” The Delaware Fireball was one of the Smoking Goose's first unique creations. It gets it's name from the street where the meatery's public butcher shop is located in Indianapolis and the salami's fiery taste. This crepitate salami of coarsely ground pork is packed with crushed chilies and garlic. It's wrapped in a caul fat, dry aged and cold smoked in an oven of hickory wood, making one spicy salami.”
This had a great flavor and I didn't actually taste the spices, until I swallowed. It has a serious spice to it, but I nice flavor.
The Whole Box
Final Thought: This is a great unique box. I am sure I got $50.00 worth of meat from this box. Carnivore Club is a great box for those people who enjoy charcuterie. The meat is not only tasty but comes from independent farms in the Midwest. This box exposed C and I to many different meats, that we may never have tried otherwise. I love that the Smoking Goose, is located in Indiana (my home state). I also love, that everything is independent and done with such artistry. The pork jowl is my favorite from this box, and I will be getting more. This will make a great addition to our Christmas breakfast. If you are interested in signing up for Carnivore Club, click HERE and use the code “boxmom” to save $10.00. Residents of Canada go HERE.
