Me Undies Review and Discount Code

Me Undies is a underwear/t-shirt/sock company that has subscription services for men and women.  I took advantage of the Labor Day sale and ordered from Me Undies.  I got my first pair of Me Undies for only $4.80.  Note:  There was an adult product included in this review, so people under 18 should not continue reading this review. September Julep Maven: Cityscapes

This month's theme for September's Julep Maven was Cityscape.  The theme was centered around the city lights.  I almost skipped this month.  I have many nail polishes and I didn't like all of them.  I really loved the purple color in Classic with a Twist and Karmen (an add on polish).  I decided to go ahead and get this month's box.  I was also really curious about the cleansing oil.  If you are new to my Julep Maven reviews, Julep Maven is $19.99 a month with free shipping.

My Sensory Box Review

My Sensory Box is an exciting new subscription box for kids.  This is not your ordinary subscription box for kids.  As a mom of a toddler and a preschooler, it is important, for me to give my children the tools to grow into big thinkers.  I try to avoid toys with lots of bells and whistles and prefer my children to use their imaginations.  I was thrilled to be able to review My Sensory Box.  Sensory Boxes are a great way to help your child develop their cognitive, social, emotional, physical, creative and speech skills.  Sensory boxes are a great way to help your child's self esteem.  There are no rules, no instructions with My Sensory Box.  All your child needs is his/her imagination.

Try The World Review and 6 Month Giveaway

Congrats Alisa N for winning the 6 month Giveaway!
Try the World is a brand new subscription box that sends gourmet food and art from around the world.  I was really excited about this box, as their first stop was Paris.  I am in love with Paris, but I haven't been lucky enough to go yet.  Try the World agreed to send me a mini Paris box to review.  Try the World made a mini Paris box for me to review (the regular subscription boxes are much larger).

Xplore Box Review and Giveaway

Congrats Casandra for wining the Xplore Box Giveaway.

“Turning little tinkerers into big thinkers!”

Xplore BoX is a new subscription box that brings Science, Technology, Engineering and Math into the hands of children.  The boxes are filled with toys, projects, experiments and other fun items to get your child thinking.  I was excited to see a box like this for kids.  I was thrilled when Xplore BoX let me review a box for them.

Details:
Website: www.XploreBox.com
What is in the box? “ Every month, you’ll receive a boX that includes activities, projects, kits, toys and/or goodies that will engage and encourage kids in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).”
Cost: $29.95
When am I billed? You are billed at the time of purchase and then again every 30-31 days
Can I skip a month?  Yes, just email [email protected]
How do I cancel: You can cancel from your online account

This is how the box comes

I was very excited to see this box on my doorstep.  Xplore ships priority mail, which is excellent in my book.

First Look
The theme for this month is Kitchen Science
The information card
Kitchen Science Kit

The Kitchen Science Kit sells for $21.39 on Amazon.  This kit is filled with fun things to do: Table Top Volcano, Vinegar Rocket, Kitchen Spy-Invisible Ink, Kitchen Detective-Fingerprints, Rock Candy Factory and Fruit Battery.  I love all the experiments and activities in this box.  This would be lots of fun for a child.

Gummie Bear Tower Kit
The child uses the tooth picks and gummie bears to make a tower.  The child draws each tower in the book (below).  Xplore poses questions to the child  to find out what kind of tower is best: square base, triangle, or something else?
Journal and Pencil
Xplore included a journal and pencil, so you child can document all the findings
The Whole Box

Final Thought: I really like Xplore BoX.  This is a great box for any boy or girl ages 7-12.  Children older than 12 can still subscribe, but children under 3 should never use this kit (small parts etc).  As a child, I loved Science and would have loved to have a kit like this.  Xplore BoX makes learning Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fun.  I didn't do a full retail value for this box, as it was difficult to estimate prices for the gummie project.  This box is worth much more than the face value of each item.  The Xplore BoX experts have put together a box of educational items, that lets your child learn and have fun at the same time.  This makes this box well worth the cost.  Do you want a Xplore BoX for your child?  Xplore Box is so awesome, they are giving an Xplore BoX to one of my readers!  Just enter below.  Please do all three mandatory tasks (I do check).  A winner will be randomly drawn.  If the winner has not completed all the mandatory tasks, a new winner will be drawn.

The Socks
Why bamboo socks? You may be wondering why these socks are special, and why you shouldn't just go to Target and pick up a pair of socks.  These socks are made from bamboo.  Bamboo has natural properties that wick moisture from your feet, prevent bacteria and increases circulation in your feet.  Bamboo is also good for the Earth.  It takes 24,000 gallons of water to turn cotton into a pound of fabric.  Bamboo only needs 12.
I was sent two pairs of socks: men's dress socks and women's ankle socks
Men's dress socks
Women's ankle socks
First Observations:
When I opened up the socks, I noticed how incredibly soft they were.  The socks have reinforced toes.  I was really excited to try out the socks.
The Test:
I wasn't able to test the men's socks, because my husband has a size 14 foot (the socks only go to 12).  I tested out the women's socks.  I wore them around the house all day, while taking care of my two small children.  I am pretty picky about my socks and usually just go barefoot because my feet get too hot.  These socks stayed put and were comfortable all day.
I decided to also test them on a run.  I really enjoy running (I just started in May), but I haven't found the right running socks.  These socks worked great.  I really wish I could get a whole running outfit made like these socks.
The Package

Final Thought: I am really impressed with these socks.  I was disappointed that my husband can't wear them, but not many people wear a size 14 shoe.  I love the women's socks.  I really like the reinforced toe and I think it will keep my socks from getting holes in them.  Zocksters are incredibly comfortable and really keep your feet cool and dry.  If you would like to sign up for Zockster, go to http://www.zockster.com/.  Even better, Zockster is letting me do a give away for a 1 month box (3 pairs of socks).  Enter Below.
