September Kiwi Crate Modern Art and $10.00 discount code
When the little green box shows up on our doorstep, it is a great day in his household. My son L loves his Kiwi Crate. He always wants to start on it right away. He knows I take pictures of everything and do videos, so he is always anxious for me to get done. Kiwi Crate is $19.95 a month and each month you get a box of at least 2 crafts, a kiwi crate magazine, and a cut out scene to play with your box. In you first Kiwi Crate, you also get a pair of scissors and a poster to put your Kiwi Crate stickers (more on that later).
Modern Art |
This month's theme is Modern Art! The two main projects are “My Hanging Mobile” and “My Color Block Painting”
Explore Magazine |
Every Kiwi Crate comes with Explore magazine. Explore magazine is full color and has many different activities for the child to do.
The Info Card |
The information card on top has cut outs on the back. The cut outs can be colored and used during play with the box.
Inside the box |
Every Kiwi Crate has a scene in the bottom. Kiwi Crate boxes are meant to be re-used. Very eco friendly!
Halloween Crate |
Kiwi Crate has an exclusive Halloween Crate available for purchase. The card has a code “Halloween5” that you can use to get 10% off the Halloween Crate. We have ordered it and can't wait to play!
Artist Name Cards |
Kiwi Crate included name cards for you little artist to label his/her creations
My Hanging Mobile |
My son couldn't wait to make this (see more pics below). You child will make a hanging mobile “Calder Mobile”. Alexander Calder made famous mobiles and loved to see how to make them balance in different ways. There is more information about Alexander Calder on the back of the directions
My Color Block Painting |
You child will create their very own color block painting, just like Piet Mondrian. Mondrian is famous for his colorful paintings with black lines. Kiwi Crate even included a wooden easel. This is a very nice quality easel.
Directions |
Kiwi Crate always includes full color instructions.
Bonus Craft |
There is a bonus craft in the Explore magazine for your child can make a funny face collage.
Bonus Gift |
Kiwi Crate include a bonus gift! 3 cute erasers. This are OH SO ADORABLE!
Making the Mobile |
L make the mobile fairly easily. He was able to thread the yard through the hanging piece and thread pipe cleaners through buttons.
Coming Along |
Putting on decorations |

Whole Box |
Final Thought: Once again, Kiwi Crate hit it out of the park. My son loves this subscription and that is enough for me. I love that my son is expanding his fine motor skills, and learning new things without even knowing it! Tonight we worked on fine motor skills, colors and shapes with the mobile. He also learned about a new artist. If you want to try Kiwi Crate for your child (recommended for children 3-7) click HERE. You will save $10.00 on your first box.
