October Love with Food Review and Free Box

Love with Food is another one of my cheap subscriptions.  It is only $10.00 a month plus $2.00 shipping.  Each month, you get 8 or more snacks.  Love with Food also has a deluxe box, which send 16-18 items for $19.95 (free shipping).  This month's theme was Scary Delicious.

Second Look
I wasn't thrilled when I saw the coconut chips.  I was a bit worried about the box.

Dang Toasted Coconut Chips $2.82
My reaction to these was DANG!  I really hate coconut.  I will be giving these to relative.

Happy Family Fruit & Veggie Twist $1.75
My 19 month old loves pouches.  We like the Happy Family brand too.
Silk City Snacks Pizzelle Crisps Chocolate Chips $1.99 (est)
I could only find these for sale on Love with Food's website, but it didn't state how many bags you would receive.  These are chocolate, light, crispy, Italian waffle cookies.  Did I mention they are under 100 calories?
New World Caveman Cookies 78 cents each ($1.56 total)
These are part of the paleo diet.  These are made with pumpkin seeds and maple syrup.  I am not a big fan of pumpkin, but these were pretty good.
Vinaigerie Gingras Pixo Pearls Apple Cider Vinegar $1.80
These are little pearls of apple cider vinegar.  I think my husband would try these on a salad.
Kind Fruit & Nut Nut Delight $1.50
These are a great snack after a run, or just a healthy snack.  This is full of nuts, fruit and honey.
Glee Gum Triple Berry 16 cents
These had s a nice flavor but were a bit hard.
Torie and Howard Hard Candies $1.00 (est)
I have received these in my Taste Trunk.  They are really good and are already gone.
Coupons $4.99 value for free entree
I received 3 coupons:
*1 Free Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Entree ($4.99 value)
*$1.00 off 2 Happysqueeze products
* 15% off gleeglum.com
Whole Box

Final Thought The total value for this box is $17.57.  This wasn't my favorite Love with Food box, but it wasn't bad either.  I like the chocolate waffle chips and the kind bar the best.  My kids liked the pouch and candy.  My husband liked the caveman cookies and gum.  It's fun to have a box that the whole family can enjoy.  If you want to try Love with Food, click HERE and use the code FBGIFT and get your first box free.

Ofra Sultry Lipgloss and Plumper $12.95
I was excited to see a full size product.  This adds some shine and a bit of color.  This is a great product.

Coloring
Kiwi Crate included 3 markers to decorate the glowworm

October Taste Trunk Sweet Trunk Review

Taste Trunk is one of the subscriptions I get every month.  Taste Trunk has four different trunks: Healthy, Sweet, BBQ, and Gourmet.  Taste Trunk is $29.00 a month and there is a shipping charge for new subscribers.  Every month, you get 4-5 tasty treats that fit with the box you choose.  The boxes themselves, are very nice.  The inside lid of the box always has a picture to fit with the month.  I like the little embossed seals in the box.  I loved my sweet trunk so much last month, I decided to try it again.
The Trunk Box
All trunks ship in the same boxes.  I love the embossed seal on the top.  The boxes ship priority mail, so the shipping charge is worth it.  These boxes are heavy!

First Look
Taste Trunk wins the award for best packaging.  They have an attention to detail that I love.  Notice the black and orange colors for Halloween
The Goodies
Cake Coconut Macaroons Price Unknown
These are made by the Cake company.  They are located in Lafayette, Ca.    They are famous for their coconut macaroons,  They also make specialty cakes.  These look delicious but unfortunately, my husband and I hate coconut.  I will be giving this to my father, who is very excited to receive them.
Marlos $14.99
Ahhh chocolate.  Now we are talking.  These are similar to biscotti, but different.  They have the crunch that biscotti has, but it's a bit softer.  The bag has two different flavors: Midnight Marlos and Original Marlos.  My favorite were the Midnight Marlos.  They are made with Italian espresso, cocoa, Callebaut, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.  The original is made with chocolate chips, chocolate covered raisins, walnuts, orange juice, vanilla extract and cinnamon (among other ingredients).  The Midnight Marlos are really good.
Il Molenetto Bakery Italian Hazelnut Cookies $6.00
This company is based out of California.  These are made from hazelnuts and almonds with a layer of dark Belgian chocolate.  These were yummy!
Wooden Table Baking Co: Alfajores $7.30 est
These are vanilla cookies filled with dulce de leche and rolled in grated coconut.  Dulce de leche is made from heating sweetened milk until it caramelized.  Oh, the coconut, we are not friends.  I am going to have my father try these and let me know how strong the coconut is.  I really hate coconut, so I don't think I will like these.  These sound really good (minus the coconut).
Information Cards
Taste Trunk always sends information cards with detail about the company and products of all the items in the box.
The Whole Box

Final Thought: This box was disappointing to me.  I hate coconut, so that took two of the items.  I am not upset with Taste Trunk though.  This is the nature of subscription boxes.  Sometimes you like the products, sometimes you don't.  Coconut is loved by many people, just not C and I.  We did enjoy the Marlos and the Italian Hazelnut cookies.  If you are interested in signing up, save  save 25% on your 1st trunk by using
boxmom25 in the promo code field and putting “Erin Hamm” in the special instructions area. Click HERE to order.

Mexican Candy Box Ad
The Whole Box

Final Thought:  I really liked this box.  There was a large assortment of candy for the price.  This is the smallest box.  I can't imagine how much candy the bigger boxes have.  I love the gum and the cherry lollipop.  C loved the Tomy Ricos Besos and the Las Sevillanas Mini Oblea.  I think the $12.00 is a good price for this box.  I don't have the ability to get items like this close to me.  I hope Mexican Candy Box opens an online store in the future, I would love to buy more of my favorite candies.  If you are interested in signing up, go to www.mexicancandybox.com.
