TokyoTreat March 2024 Review + Coupon

TokyoTreat is a Japanese candy and treat subscription.
You can expect to find exclusive Japanese drinks, instant ramen, rare KitKat flavors, salty snacks, candy, cakes, and cookies. Each box will come with a cultural guide as well as complete details for all allergens found in the foods.

First Look
The box came with a colorful book filled with details about all the snacks in the box. Each snack has a description and allergy information.
Mini Caplico
This is a wafer snack that comes in three flavors: chocolate, strawberry, and milk. I received the strawberry flavor. This reminds me of those wafer cookies I used to have growing up. The strawberry filling mixed well with the wafer cone for a yummy sweet treat. Common Allergens: Dairy, Soy, Wheat, May Contain Traces Of: N/A, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Curry Senbei Cracker
Rice crackers are coated in curry powder and chili pepper. They had a toasted cracker taste, mixed with the seasonings. Common Allergens: Wheat, May Contain Traces Of: egg, dairy, soy, and shrimp, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Squid Rice Cracker
This is another type of rice cracker that has squid powder and some salt. I wasn't crazy about this snack. I don't each much seafood, which explains why I didn't care for this one much. Yakisoba
This makes a quick meal of Japanese stir-fried noodles with veggies, meat and unami sauce. Common Allergens: Wheat, soy, May Contain Traces Of: buckwheat, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Glico Bisco Cracker
These milky cookies have sweet strawberry cream between two cookies. This reminded me of the ice cream treat. The cookies and strawberry cream mixed well together. Common Allergens: Wheat, dairy, Contain Traces Of: n/a, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Strawberry Yogurt Hard Candies
These candies are similar to Ichigo same and have a yogurt coating and a tart strawberry center. I thought these were going to be chewy, but they have a hard outer coating. The inside has a tarte strawberry core. Common Allergens: Egg, dairy, May Contain Traces Of: n/a, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Ramune Candy
I love ramune candy. This candy is a lemon and a citrus fruit (shikuwasa) candy from Okinawa. These candies dissolve in your mouth with a citrus flavor. Common Allergens: n/a, May Contain Traces Of: egg, dairy, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Sakura Karinto
This snack is also made with sakura leaves, which makes the snack slightly sweet with a savory sakura flavor. I love these, and they are crunchy treats that taste similar to churro. Common Allergens: Wheat, May Contain Traces Of: egg, dairy, peanuts, buckwheat, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Premium Ghana
I was happy to get a chocolate treat in the box. These treats are a creamy, mellow chocolate that is filled with a truffle-like filling. What a delicious treat! I love how rich the chocolate tasted. Common Allergens: Dairy, soy May Contain Traces Of: egg, wheat, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Koikeya Nori Shio Chips
Unami seaweed (Nori) and sakura come together in these snacks. The seaweed is mixed with chili oil for a slightly spice flavor. I have never cared much about seaweed, but these chips are so good. They have a slight seaweed flavor with a bit of spice. Common Allergens: n/a, May Contain Traces Of: egg, dairy, wheat, shrimp, and crab, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Acerola Cherry Juice
The subscription also came with a drink! It's a sweet and sour cherry juice that has a full day's worth of vitamin C. I love the taste of this cherry drink. It tastes like a cherry Capri Sun, only with a better cherry flavor.
Sakura Cream Cake
This is a soft cake that is filled with cream and flavored with real cherry juice. This soft sweet cake has a cherry filling. What I noticed most about this cake is how good the cherry flavor tasted. It doesn't taste like the fake cherry candy flavor, but like an actual cherry. Common Allergens: Wheat, egg, dairy, soy, May Contain Traces Of: n/a, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Platinum Sakura Sweet Tart
The tarte is flavored with salted sakura leaves and a sweet white bean paste filling. Common Allergens: Wheat, dairy, egg, soy, May Contain Traces Of: n/a Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
Sakura Waffle Cookie
This light and crispy biscuit is filled with a sweetened sakura-inflused filling. The crunchy wafer has a strawberry filling and so tasty! Common Allergens: Wheat, egg, dairy, soy, May Contain Traces Of: peanuts, Suitable for Vegetarians: Yes
KitKat Strawberry
Japan has many different flavors of KitKat. These contain tart strawberry and creamy white chocolate. The strawberry flavor had a tarte strawberry flavor and is one of my favorite snacks in the box. Final Thought: I am blown away by this TokyoTreat. My favorite snacks were the KitKat bars, the chocolate, and the Sakura Karinto. There were so many yummy treats in the box.
