January 2024 Monthly Essential Oil Recipe Box
The recipe box comes in a small brown box with the branding on top.
First Look
Essential Oils
There is a list of all the essential oils in the box. The card states if the essential oil is pregnancy-safe, safe for kids, dog-safe, or cat-safe.
Next month, you will get new essential oils and make a foaming hand soap.
Cajeput
Cajeputs support joint function, respiration, and centers. It's safe for kids ten and up, pregnancy, dogs, but not cats.
Relief Blend
Relief soothes respiration and joint function and soothes muscles. It's safe for kids ten and up and pregnancy, but not dogs and cats.
Lavender
Lavender promotes rest, soothes skin, and promotes brain health. This is one of my favorite essential oils. It's safe for kids two and up, pregnancy, and dogs, but not cats.
Juniper Berry
Juniper Berry promotes rejuvenation, detoxifies, and aids digestion. It's safe for kids two and up, pregnancy, dogs, and cats.
Stickers
There is a sheet of stickers in every box to put on top of the essential oils in the box and to put on the products you make in each recipe.
Recipe Supplies
This month, Simply Earth sent a container of mango butter, a body oil base, and a silver makeup case. You should also keep your bonus box handy when you do each box's recipes. Those bonus ingredients will be needed.
Recipes
This month, the recipes make a body butter, lip balm, massage oil, muscle rescue balm, diffuser blend, and a calm skin roll-on.
I put the stickers on top of my essential oils first. This makes finding the essential oil you need easier when looking down in your container.
Soothing Whipped Body Butter
This is one of the longer recipes in the box. The only ingredient that you need from the bonus box is coconut oil. I bought some empty containers on Amazon to use for future recipes.
The first step was to melt the mango butter, body oil, and coconut oil together. Then you put it in the freezer, then whip and repeat.
I let it sit overnight, and it was ready! This smells great and is perfect for extra dry skin.
Winter Frost Lip Balm
The lip balm uses the beeswax and almond oil from your bonus box. I didn't need to supply anything. Last month, I made my own makeup, and I was excited to do it again this month.
This was a straightforward recipe to do. I just melted the mango butter, almond oil, and beeswax together. I added the essential oils and poured them into the container.
The lip balm smells fantastic with the lavender. It's going into my purse to keep on hand through winter.
Muscle Rescue Balm
This recipe only took 5 minutes to make! I used three of the essential oils from the box, along with the coconut oil, beeswax, and almond oil from the bonus box.
Once I melted the ingredients, I added the essential oils and let them cool.
The finished product is a balm that smells great.
Relief Massage Oil
This was the fastest recipe I made. To make the massage oil, mix almond oil, body oil base, and two essential oils.
No heating is involved, so pour the mixture into a container.
This oil is excellent for an at-home massage.
Final Thought: The December box was packed with fun and useful recipes. I love the lip balm the most, but my husband is enjoying the muscle rescue balm.
