December 2023 Monthly Essential Oil Recipe Box
The recipe box comes in a small brown box with the branding on top.
First Look
Essential Oils
There is a list of all the essential oils in the box. The card states if the essential oil is pregnancy-safe, safe for kids, dog-safe, or cat-safe.
Good Vibes soothes emotions and supports woman's wellness. It's safe for kids two and up, pregnancy, and dogs. It's not cat-safe, though.
Cedarwood cleans the skin and reduces the appearance of breakouts. It's safe for kids two and up, pregnancy, dogs, and cats.
Marjoram centers, supports heart wellness and soothes muscles. It's safe for kids two and up, pregnancy, dogs, and cats.
Sage centers, energizes, and calms while being safe for children ten and up and pregnant. Keep this one away from dogs and cats.
Stickers
There is a sheet of stickers in every box to put on top of the essential oils in the box and to put on the products you make in each recipe.
Makeup Supplies
The box has two small tins for the eyeshadow and blush recipes.
The eyeshadow and blush are made with red and fuchsia mica powders mixed with a mineral makeup base.
Recipes
There are six different recipes in the box. The bonus box gives you almost everything you need to complete each one.
I put the stickers on top of my essential oils first. This makes finding the essential oil you need easier when looking down in your container.
Pink Lemonade Eye Shadow
This recipe uses the makeup base, fuchsia mica powder, makeup case, and fractionated coconut oil from your bonus box.
Mix the powders first, then stir in the fractionated coconut oil until it becomes crumbly.
You press the color into a tin with the back of a spoon. I loved making this eyeshadow. I have had to repair a broken shadow before but never made my own.
The color is a pretty pink.
Monthlies Roll On
The roll-on mixes Good Vibes essential and Marjoram essential oils with fractionated coconut oil. It all goes in a small roll-on bottle from the bonus box.
The finished product smells great and can be rubbed on your abdomen to soothe your monthly discomfort.
Dusty Rose Blush
This recipe uses the same ingredients as the Pink Lemonade eyeshadow with the addition of red iron oxide.
I messed up making this shade. I didn't read the instructions carefully enough and added equal parts of fuchsia and red iron oxide.
I love the deeper pink color of this blush. If I apply it lightly, it still works as a blush. You can also use it as eye shadow or mix it with lip gloss for a colored gloss.
Final Thought: I love the makeup recipes in the December box. I enjoyed making my own makeup, and I want to make the lip crayon recipe in the box.
