One note about this review. I included pictures of parts of every item in the box, but I am not disclosing a full look at everything so readers can experience the subscription for themselves.
The box is white with “Be The Detective” on top.
In this episode, you find out.
- What is the time of death?
- Who can you eliminate as suspects?

The front of this card gives you tips to explore this box. Remember, this is one episode of three, so keep everything!
The back of the card lists all the items you should have in your box. There is a QR code to scan to get extra items.
Letter
There is a letter from Phineas Quinn, the private detective. Phineas has enclosed copies of the evidence in the black envelope. For the second episode, you are to find the time of Claire's death. You also need to review the suspects and find the person that did not have motive and opportunity. There is a website to get hints and where you can disclose what you have found.

The death investigation details Claire's last known whereabouts, andwitness accounts. It also discusses the events that occurred after Claire disappeared.

The packet includes interviews with four people: Benjamin Hathoway, Emily Cho, Amy Matheson, and Butchy Frankie. The interviews include some interesting details, and took like real police interviews.

A photo of Claire and her former fiance.
There are several pieces of evidence in the packet: a relationship photo, receipts, cell phone records, and newspaper articles,s and more. All of these items help give you a picture of the crime. The phone number sheet was very interesting because you can match numbers you find from other pieces of evidence.
The Letter
The letter is to Dr. Katherine Delaney, director of the choir. The letter is a cypher. If you look closely, there are little letters in the letter that you rearrange to read a message.
Notecard
The notecard is a letter from Mac to Claire.
Poster
The poster has the dates marked out in black marker, and there is a creepy message on the back. Again, I am keeping some information private so as not to spoil the entire subscription.
Map
This map includes some characters' houses and where the ring was found. You can also use the map to find out where suspects were at, when the crime occurred.
Text Messages
This is a conversation about Claire's former relationship. She is very upset in the conversation.
Final Thought: Be The Detective is an engaging box for people who love solving mysteries. Each box builds on itself. I am hooked on this subscription and I am anxious to find out who hurt Claire and why. If you love all things true crime, check out Be The Detective.
