Kekao December 2021 Chocolate Box Review + Coupon

Kekao is a craft chocolate subscription box.
Boxes are $42.99/month and come with 4-5 full-sized bars per box. The makers control the entire chocolate-making process. Kekao doesn’t include information cards in the box, as each artisan chocolate bar contains details on its wrappers.
You can buy a sample box for $45.99, containing four premium specialty crafted chocolate bars.

First Look. All the bars come in a burlap sack.
Dick Taylor Ginger Snap Milk 55%
The first bar is made of 55% Brazil Milk Chocolate made with A2/A2 whole milk from Alexandre Family Farm. It’s also made with crunchy ginger SNAPS cookie bits from Bunches & Bunches. It’s a nice mild-tasting chocolate bar with just a hint of ginger.
Manoa Hawaiian Pa‘akai Sea Salt Dark Chocolate 72%
This bar is crafted in Hawaii with 72% dark chocolate, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter, and sea salt. The bar is vegan, gluten-free, non-gmo, and soy-free. This bar was my favorite one in the box. It has the sharpness of the dark chocolate, the sea salt, and the sweetness of the sugar cane.
Goodio Chai 50%
This bar combines 50% cacao with chai spices. It’s stone ground in Finland and is organic/vegan. I wasn’t a fan of this one, but I don’t drink Chai tea, so that is probably why. My husband enjoyed it, though.
OmNom Spiced White + Caramel 32%
This bar is made of white chocolate with orange peel, cinnamon, and malt, topped with crunchy, salted caramel. I wasn’t expecting to like this bar because I don’t eat white chocolate or orange, but this bar tasted great. I think the cinnamon makes this bar.
Final Thought: Kekao delivered an excellent box this month. Our favorite bars were the OmNom and the Manoa. Kekao has a fantastic ability to source great-tasting chocolate from all over the world. I have discovered several great brands through this box. If you love chocolate, this is a subscription not to miss.
