The theme for May is “Rugged Terrain.” The information card has descriptions for everything in the box, along with tips and a challenge.
Gear Aid Buri Utility Knife $29.95
This is the main item in the box, and this one item has the same retail value as the cost of the box. It features a titanium-coated 3” drop point blade with straight and serrated edges for cutting through multiple types of jobs. The blade is made of 420 stainless steel and has a bottle opener at the end. Put it in a quick-release sheath so it’s easy to take on and off your pack or belt.
UCO Gear Survival Fire Striker $9.99
This is a must-have tool when you are camping. It has a Ferrocerium rod that is capable of 3,000 strikes. You can use this to light a campfire or your gas stove.
Nature’s Willow Bug Bite Balm $6.99
This itch relief cream is made of White Willow Bark, Helichrysum, Natural Lemongrass, Lavender, & Camphor. Mosquitoes can be a pain come summer so I will put this in our first aid kit.
Exploria Paracord Survival Bracelet $7.00 (average price)
We have several of these paracord bracelet, so I am not sure what we will do with another one. This one is easily adjustable, has a compass, firestriker and emergency whistle.
Hydralyte Electrolyte Powder $.50
This drop-in is a bit of an “extra” in the box. Drop this in 7ozs of water to get hydrated. This is fortified with 1000mgs of vitamin C and 300mgs of elderberry to support your immune system.
Final Thought: My box had a total value of $54.43. The knife and firestarter was our favorite item in the box. Overall, I thought this was a good box. Use this link with the code honor to get 20% off your box.
