First Look
All the beers come in divided compartments.
The box comes with a two sided information guide. There is information about the two featured breweries.
Sea Dog Brewery
Sea Dog Brewery is located in Bangor, Maine. They have a breweries in several cities including a restraurant. The beers are made in a traditional style using imported English two-row malted barley for ales and imported German hops and grains for lagers.
India Pale Ale This is an amber colored beer that was created after the famous ales from Burton-On-Trent. Taste: Great taste but with more hoppyness than some of the others. The 6.2% alcohol content makes it a great drink for the volume.
Bluepaw Wheat Ale This is a wheat ale with a subtle fruit flavor from Main wild blueberries. Taste: The taste was very good. I loved the aroma along with the great taste. This combo makes this beer my favorite.
Adirondack Brewery
The Adirondack Brewing is located in Lake George, New York. They have over 25 all-natural, non-pasteurized craft ales each brewed and bottled on premise using only the finest malt, hops, yeast and water.
Bobcat Pilsner This is a light-bodied lager with a subtle bitterness and can be paired with a variety of foods. Taste: This one is my least favorite of the bunch. The aroma is repulsive at first. I wanted to give it a chance and can saw that it does take a few drinks to really start liking this.
Bear Naked This is a medium-bodied amber ale with a copper color, top-fermenting ale yeast, and a high proportion of imported Munich Malt. This beer is named after the Adirondack Black Bear who eats fermented fruit in the fall, which makes him act crazy. He runs “bear-naked” around the woods. Taste: I find it has a sweet tester with no bitter hoppyness.
Final Thought: My husband enjoyed trying new beers. This is a fun subscription for someone who likes to unwind at the end of the long day with a beer.
