First Look
There was a two sided information card about the special tea in the box.
This month Bruu sent Citrusdal tea. This is from Africa and is a Roobios tea. This tea is perfect for the evening because it's caffeine-free.
My husband's thoughts: This mild tea is easy to drink without adding anything, and isn't very acidic.
Cheeky Digestive This tea is made with pineapple cubes, apple pieces, apple cubes, sweet blackberry leaves, pistachios, sugar and more. It's described as tasting just like a biscuit. For a perfect cup, brew in 100 degrees Celcius for 5-10 mins. Each tea comes in a resealable bag, an information card and a little clip to keep everything together.
My husband's thoughts: This tea is sweet and fruity. The tea is so good, you could almost eat it like trail mix. This was my favorite tea in the box.
Rose Amour This tea is made of luxury black tea and rose petals. For a perfect cup, brew in 100 degrees Celcius for 5-10 mins.
My husband's thoughts: This tea was not “my cup of tea”. The floral scent reminded me of potpourri. It was a bit too fragrant for my tastes.
Lockhart Green OP For a perfect cup, brew in 80 degrees Celcius for only 1 min. This green tea is rolled and hand processed in south India. The tea is naturally blanched to reduce caffeine.
My husband's thoughts: This tea has a earthy aroma with a nice flavor. I am typically not a fan of green tea, but this one was especially pleasing.
Olives The bonus item in the box was a package of green olives. These are low in calories, and gmo free.
Final Thought: My husband enjoys a nice cup of tea everyday. It's nice to try new kinds of tea in the comfort of your own home, wihout having to go out in stores. If you enjoy tea, check out BRUU!
