First Look
There was a two sided information card about the special tea in the box. This month Bruu sent Surianalle tea.. This is from India and has a milk citrus taste, strong bodied, with lively briskness.
The tea shipped in a small gold packet.
My husband's thoughts: Great aroma with very fine grinding of the tea leaves. Initial brew of tea is a higher acidity than the other teas same maybe as the black. With cream and honey, the tea is smooth and great tasting. The only drawback is with the fine tea that slips through my brew ball. I don't like tea leaves at the bottom so I couldn't finish it exactly.
Manfair Black Tea This is a blend of Assam and Kenyan black teas, along with safflower petals. This tea comes from Assam, India. For a perfect cup, brew in 100 degrees Celcius for 3 mins. Each tea comes in a resealable bag, an information card and a little clip to keep everything together.
My husband's thoughts: This tea had a mild acidity even before adding creamer. It has a slightly fruity taste and a good after taste.

Very Berry Tea This green tea is made of Sencha with berry flavors. The Sencha green tea comes from Japan. Brew this one at 70 – 80 degrees Celcius for 30 seconds.
My husband's thoughts: This tea has a very light taste and color. Drinking it was like warm flavored water that had a slightly sweet taste. No milk or cream was needed.

Tropical Paradise Tea This is a rooibos tea that is described as having abundant decoration and exotic taste. This one brews at 75 – 80 degrees Celcius for 4 – 5 mins.
My husband's thoughts: Sweet aroma with a strong cherry smell, but I could be wrong. The initial brew is very mild and tasted ok. I added honey and got to a very good place. However, the cherry smell reminded me too much of medicine. I added cream to move past it but it only helped a little. Overall it was ok but not my favorite. I kinda wished that the berry tea was as dark as the tropical but without the cherry.

Tribe Protein Bar This bar is the bonus item in the box. The flavor is double chocolate and has all-natural protein. This has 226 calories with 10 grams of protein, 14 grams of carbs, and 14 grams of protein. My husband will eat this as an afternoon snack.
Final Thought: My husband enjoyed trying new kinds of tea. The little clothespins are a nice touch to make sure the cards and the tea stay together. If you enjoy tea, check out BRUU!
