Update: Or I should say WARNING: Many of the customization options are quote, unquote out of stock. They let annual members grab everything up without reserving adequate stock for seasonal members. I logged in the minute you could to do my customizations. To the best of my memory, the following are all no longer available. (Though, since I canceled I cannot go back into my account to confirm.)
Choice 3 no longer includes:
1. Cosmedix Pure C
2. Green Goo Hibiscus Plant Based Body Scrub
(2 out of 5 items or 40% of choices)
Choice 2 no longer includes:
1. 111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster
2. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost
(2 out of 7 items. However, the Tarte Pro Glow Highlight and Contour Palette was noted as being low stock too.)
Choice 1 no longer includes:
1. Summer and Rose Navy Diamond Tote
2. West Elm Indigo Tie Dye Bowls
3. Elemis Peptide 4 Night Recovery Cream Oil
(3 out of 6 or half the advertised items since the sweater only counts as 1 choice in 2 different sizes.)
This is absolutely ridiculous. False advertising and bait and switch tactics. Wow!
Five of those are throwbacks. The sold-out choices for choice 3 and 1 are all throwbacks. I think FFF included “throwbacks” which were basically leftover stock from previous boxes. Since they were leftover, there wasn’t a full stock amount of those. I am hoping the future boxes don’t include throwbacks.
I understand they were called “throwbacks,” but why advertise them in the spoilers as customization options? That was a very bad move. If they wanted to get rid of them, why wouldn’t they just put them as add ons? I think they purposely tried to use these popular items to lure people into subscribing, thinking they would be able to choose them during customization time, even new subscribers. Just a theory. The other options weren’t all that great and maybe they knew that. I feel lucky that I had gotten a Winter Edit box so that I could cancel without paying for the Spring box at all. I really was thinking of a yearly membership, but I just don’t like how they treat customers. Adequate stock should have been reserved for seasonal members since they hyped them up in the spoiler videos. My opinion at least.
Well that’s the reason you become a select member. Give them $179.99 all at once and you don’t have to worry about such things.
