Kekao January 2020 Chocolate Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Kekao is a craft chocolate subscription box.
Boxes are $34.99/month and come with 4-5 full-sized bars per box. The bars are handcrafted, with the makers controlling the entire chocolate-making process. Kekao doesn't include information cards in the box, as each artisan chocolate bar includes details on their wrappers.

First Look
Kekao included directions on how to properly taste and enjoy chocolate.
All the chocolate came in a burlap bag.
Amano Artisan Chocolate Guayas River Basin – Ecuador This chocolate is by far my favorite bar in the box. It has notes of green bananas, smoke, and blackberries. It has 70% cocoa and is handcrafted.
Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate with Fleur de Sel This chocolate is 73% dark chocolate cocoa and the back of the bar is covered in sea salt. This was my husband's favorite bar in the box.
Artisan du Chocolat Black Cardamon – London This bar is 70% dark chocolate and flavored with cardamom. The cocoa beans are from South America and the cardamom is from India. This was an interesting tasting bar, but it wasn't my favorite.
Markham & Fitz Chocolate Makers – Hati This is 75% dark chocolate with a full flavor profile. The discription is “cinnamon raisin & brownie cover the palate swaying from side to side. Orange peel quickly spins & dried fig follows up to dip you for a lingering finish“.
Final Thought: This box was filled with amazing chocolate. The Amano and Dick Taylor chocolate bars were my favorite ones in the box. If you want to try this box, use the coupon SBM10 to save $10 off your 1st box.
