First Look.
The theme for July 2019 is “Sizzle Box”.
The information guide gives details about all the items in the box.
Bamboo Food Tent, Vietnam $30.00 I could've used this food tent on my trip to Florida, the mosquitos were everywhere. I love eating outside, but the bugs can be annoying. This fits over any standard plate, as well as the dish in this box. It's made in Vietnam from the bamboo poles growing in Quynh's area. This is a very handy item, though I am not sure where I am going to store it.
There is a little loop on top, so you can hold the cover easily.
Moroccan Mezze Plate, Morocco $50.00 This plate is my favorite item in the box. It measures 10.5″ D x 1.5″ and is perfect to hold chips, fruit, veggies, or buffalo wings. I have never had a nice serving plate and I look forward to using this at parties.
The middle of the plate is raised to hold any kind of dip you want.
Stainless Steel Spreader – White, India $10.00 This spreader is made and sold through Noah's Ark, an organization that helps artisans sell their products. The spreader is made of stainless steel and would work well with a cheese ball and crackers.
Hot Drops – Mild Four Chili, South Africa $13.00 This is such a pretty bottle. There are beads decorating the bottle that is made by the Cape Mental Health Society, who employes the mentally handicapped. The sauce contains Serrano & passion chillis, so it's pretty hot.
Chindi Handle Bread Basket, India $20.00 I am obsessed with baskets and I use them all over the house. This one is made in India and the handles are made from recycled cotton clothing. All the baskets are made by twelve women in the state of Rajasthan through the organization Matr Boomie.
