All the snacks arrived in a green box. For shipping, the box was wrapped in thick bubble wrap and taped together.
First Look. The box came with a two-page list of snacks in the box.
KitKat Matcha KitKat has so many flavors in Japan, while The United States only gets one or two flavors. This flavor is green tea, and while I don't love green tea, these are pretty good.
Almond Glico These are similar to caramel candies, only made of chewy almond candy. These were a bit tough, but they had a nice flavor.
Potato-Furai These are a thin salty chip that has a slightly salty, and slight chicken taste.
Umai-bou This has the consistency of a puffy Cheetos, only bigger and denser. I received three different flavors.
- Corn Potage This tastes like sweet creamed corn.
- Yakitori I have never had this flavor before, it's barbeque chicken and so good.
- Takoyaki This is another new flavor for me. It tastes a bit like soy sauce.
PukuPukuTai: I have had this in a previous box and it was really good. This is a cookie/chocolate treat that is shaped like a fish. The cookie part tastes just like an ice cream cone (the cone part) and it is filled with fluffy chocolate.
PRETZ Pretz is a pretzel/cracker like treat. These are the plain version and are tasty.
Super Mario Peloty I wish there were two of these, so each of my kids would have one. This is a big Super Mario milk chocolate candy. The milk chocolate was okay, but I know my kids would like it.
Kajyu Gummy Japan grape candy is wonderful. It tastes similar to sparkling grape juice in gummy form. My gummies were stuck together but still tasty.
Baby Star Ramen These ramen noodles are crunchy and go great in soup. They are salty with a hint of chicken.
Black Thunder These candy bars were my favorite treats in the box. They are chocolate bars that are filled with bits of chocolate and cookie bits.
Kakinotane I have had another flavor of these but these are just the plain spicy version. These are crunchy snacks that are flavored with chilli pepper. They are spicy, but not too spicy.
Nigi-Nigi Gummy Osushiya-San My kids love playing with these gummies. You assemble these gummy sushi pieces to make your own gummy sushi.
Morokoshiwa-Tara These puffy snacks are similar to Umai-bou, but these are pretty plain and have a corn flavor.
Bakauke I have had various flavors of rice cakes, but I don't remember this one. These are rice snacks that are flavored with seaweed.
Gummy Choco I never eat chocolate with fruit, but these are great. They are a milk chocolate ball that is filled with a round gummy center.
Ototo We have had these before and they were a total hit. These are little sea animal shapes that are crunchy, salty crackers. They actually taste more like a chip than a cracker.
Kyabetsu-Taro These puffy snacks have a unique flavor and I am not sure what it is. The first taste was vinegar, then there was a seasoning. They are quite tasty and very different from the other snacks.
Cup Noodle Curry This is a microwavable meal that is reading in 3 mins. You just add boiling water and wait three minutes from the noodles to cook. The instructions came printing on the information sheet.
The box also came with a pair of chopsticks to use with the noodle curry.
Final Thought: I loved this box and it was packed with so many snacks. I think this is one of the largest snack unboxings that I have done. I loved the Black Thunder and Ototo snacks the best. If you want to subscribe, use the code SUBSCRIPTIONBOXMOM for 20% off.
