The product for this box is “DIY Canvas Tote Bag”.
Everything is wrapped in tissue paper and a piece of burlap.
I was happy to see printed instructions back in the box. For the past few months, instructions were just online. The instructions list everything in the box, what you need from home (pen & ruler).
The Supplies
The box contains a sheet of thick foam, two wooden round circles, and templates.
The August Hippie Hobby Box contains a large tote to decorate.
There is also a smaller bag for office supplies or makeup.
Instead of an ink pad, 3D fabric paint is used for the stamping and it's applied with a paint brush.
Hippie Hobby Box even sent scissors. I like getting supplies that I can use again.
This is everything in the box.
Crafting
I chose to use my own design for the bag, instead of the ones provided. It should be no surprise that I used a Mickey head. You trace your stamp shape on a piece of thick foam, then cut it out.
The foam is sticky on one side, so you just peel the backing and stick it to one of the wooden circles.
Using thick foam to stamp with can be a bit tricky. If you use uneven pressure, your stamp won't turn out right. I used the paintbrush to fill in any gaps in the stamp.
I just did one simple stamp on the pouch.
The box is used to go in between each item to keep the paint from bleeding through.
My finished Disney pieces.
Final Thought: If I can craft with Disney stuff, it's going to be a fun product. I use tote bags all the time, so I am sure I will use my finished craft for something. The smaller pouch is going to be a pencil bag for my vehicle. If you want to subscribe, you can save $7.00 on your 1st box, just use this link with the coupon BOXMOM7.
