The Collectors Case is a new geek and gamer box that sends a themed collectors case with a t-shirt and other themed fantom items for $25.00/month. The Collectors Case likes to shake things up, so they send autograph pictures and bonus FUNKO Pops in random boxes! Each case has a value at over $60.00.
The Details:
Cost: $25.00/month, 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions also available
What's in the box? Each box comes with a themed collectors case with a t-shirt and other themed fantom items. Some case will also include bonus autographs and FUNKO Pops.
Collectors Case ships in a large white box.
First Look
The information card has details about everything in the box and descriptions. The bottom of the information card has information on each item in the box. Each month select subscribers receive bonus items. This month some subscribers received an autograph photo or a t-shirt.
Diamond Collectibles Marvel Punisher Mug $15.00 This Frank Castle skull logo mug will surely make a statement at the office. My husband will likely take this to the office and display it with his other geek and gamer items. Even though this mug is tall, it holds about the same as a regular coffee mug, due to the unusual size.
Gossamer Funko $16.00 I have a little Funko collection, and this guy will fit right in. My husband and children all love Looney Tunes, so they were pleased to see this guy in the box. He is a limited edition too!
2013 Topps Big League Minis $7.99 each Collector's Case included two different minis in the box. Luckily for me, there was also an information card in each pack, so I knew who the players are. I received Stephen Strasburg and Ichiro Suzuki. The price for these figures seems very high, but since they are no longer in production, I guess that's why.
Supernatural Mini Funko Vanir $14.99 I used to watch Supernatural all the time, and for some reason, I stopped. This Funko is Vanir, a God who would take form in a scarecrow. The town of Burkittsville would offer up sacrifices to appease Vanir. Ultimately, he was destroyed.
Wacky Packages 2 Pack $1.99 each These trading cards remind me of Garbage Pail Kids. The cards are a funny take on American food products. These are pretty funny and have been around since 1967.
These are a few of the cards: Wiggly Packages Pestcards, Fruit Binja, and Drippin Snots. They can be pretty gross, but my 8-year-old thought they were hilarious.
USAopoly Supernatural $20.47 Save Your Souls Card Game This game is exclusive to Hot Topic. You team up with characters and try not to lose your soul. I haven't played this yet, but it looks fun.
Bonus Supernatural T-shirt $15.00 est We were lucky enough to get one of the bonus items, the Supernatural T-Shirt. The shirt features the famous license plate from Supernatural. I wish I had selected my size for the t-shirt, as I am a bigger fan than my husband.
Final Thought: The total value of this box was around $101.42. Collectors Case is proving to be a geek and gamer subscription that is going to stick around. I enjoy the number of items in each box. Even if you are not a fan of everything in the box, there are so many items, you will get your money's worth. If you want to subscribe, just use this link.
