My Imagination Mail has one of the best boxes for kids! The box is very colorful and has pictures of fairy tale characters around the box.
First Look. There is a letter addressed to your child or children on top.
Father Time wrote this month's letter. One of my boys is waiting for a letter from Mother Nature! They both are enjoying this box. Next month, Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty will be writing the letter.
There is a letter to the grown-up helper, with a list of all the items in the box. Each activity also has listed what skills your child will work on.
There are calendars for June and July in the box. The calendars are filled with fun and important holidays.
Science Experiments This sheet is filled with four weeks of science experiments. I thought it was funny OOBLECK was included as one of the activities because a large group of my 8-year old's friends was talking about it after school the other day.
- #1 The April Fool's Slime Recipe
- #2 Mother May's Recipe for OOBLECK
- #3 Mother Nature's Whirlwinds
- #4 Mother Nature's Magic Moving Rainbow
Fairy Tale Preschool Playcademy While all the items are included in the box for a reason, My Imagination Mail took it a step further and made an assessment for your child. There are thirteen different categories, and each category has a description and what products in the box work on that skill.
My children love getting postcards. This one is from Cupid, and he talked about celebrating “Clean Your Room Day.”
Tool Belt and Tools $5.45 (tools) The set of tools has pliers, a hammer, nails, screws, a screwdriver, wrench, bolts, a stencil, and a fake piece of wood for the nails and screws. My youngest likes to play with his tool bench still so that he will enjoy these. The tool belt has a pocket to hold all the tools,
Watercolor Paints My kids enjoy being creative, so we go through a good amount of art supplies. I am sure my kids will paint something with this set.
Picasso Tiles Front Loader Tractor $19.99 My oldest had something similar when he was a kid. The toy comes with a handle with three tool bits that can put together and take apart the toy. I would suggest getting a little bag to hold the tools, as it can be frustrating for a child to lose one of the parts (speaking from experience). This is great for hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Perfect Timing Game $9.78 My kids are officially on summer break, and in the middle of fun and relaxation, I want to make sure they keep their skills up. My oldest learned to tell time this year, so this game will be great to keep his skills and have fun. You either set the clock to a specific time on the card or move the clock so many minutes. Another cool aspect of the game is all players work together, instead of one person winning.
Photo Frame Craft Kit There is always a craft in every box. This month's craft is themed around Father's Day. Once the craft is completed, it makes a toolbox that can hold a picture.
More stickers are included in the box for other craft projects.
Stickers The stickers are construction to match the theme of the box! These would work great to make construction themed party invitations or just as crafts.
There are three different themed sheets with two pages of each sheet in the pack.
Five Blank Cards & Envelopes Each box comes with cards and envelopes. I imagine my kids will make Father's Day cards with a couple of these.
My Fairy Tale Conversation Cards For Dinner Conversation Starters These cards may not look like much, they make dinner time more fun. The cards have questions on both sides. There is plenty to discuss over dinner.
Final Thought: As a mom of two boys, I think this box was fantastic. The theme was well one throughout the box. I like that there is a Father's Day craft in the box. If you want to subscribe, use the coupon SBM25 to save 25% on your 1st box. You can also enter to win a box by entering below!
