First Look
February's project is making a clock. There was a two-sided sheet of directions. To begin, you need to decide which clock to make, a fluid paint clock or a geometric paint clock.
Most of the supplies were in a plastic bag, in case one came open in the box.
Paint There were 5 different bottles of paint in the box, along with some clue.
There were cups included to make the fluid paint clock. The paint brush was included to make the geometric clock. There was also a package of numbers for the clock.
If you want to make a geometric clock, you can use the printout and the transfer paper to mark the pattern on the clock.
There as masking tape to mark of areas of the geometric clock and of course,t he wooden part of the clock.
Clock Maker There was a kit for all the working parts of the clock. It's was really easy to assemble and all the directions were on the back.
We decided to make the fluid paint clock. We used the bubble wrap in the box as a protective layer.
First step was to mix the paint. You put a mix of paint and glue and swirl the colors. My husband completed this project and he thought it was pretty fun.
To get the pain on the edges of the clock, you were supposed to tilt the clock around, to let the paint flow around the edges. We didn't have enough paint on the clock to cover the edges, so we just made a marbled look around the edge.
The clock turned out great! We chose not to paint the numbers, because I like the natural look over the painted clock.
Final Thought: This craft was fun to complete and it turned out really well. My husband isn't a crafter, but he enjoyed the project. This is a fun subscription if you enjoy crafting and DIY projects. This was a really fun box and you can use the code CRAFTYMOM to receive free shipping on your subscription.
