First Look
The theme this month was “Adored Activist”.
You can read the clues to figure out the featured Gentleman for the month. This month, the person is Nelson Mandela.
Tie Doctors Tie $39.00 Tie Doctors believe in giving back. For every tie sold, they give a portion to Doctors Without Borders. I love this blue and pink tie and it's made of 100% cotton. The colors remind me that spring is coming, eventually. This could work as a good Valentine's Day tie. If like ties, check out their website. All their ties are named after doctors. I couldn't find a name for this one though.
The label on the back of the tie has a heart rhythem on it, very cool.
Traveling Gentlemen's Boutique Pocket Square $29.00 The pocket square this month is made of 100% pure silk. This is a grey print that will work well with brown or blue suits. Traveling Gentlemen's Boutique also has a monthly subscription.
Mind Socks $12.00 These socks match the tie perfectly and are made of 80% combed cotton, 17% spandex, and 3% nylon material compensation. The name of the company comes from their initiative to give 10% of their profits to mental health services. I have a background in the mental health profession, so I really love these socks.
Percentage Sign Leather Journal $20.00 This journal is made out of real leather and contains several sheets of paper. My husband and my oldest son love to write in notebooks, so I know someone will get good use out of this.
There is a place to store the pen in the book. The notebook portion can slip out of the leather cover, so you can replace it with a new book.
Percentage Sign Pen $10.00 Gentlemen's Box didn't want you to be without a pen, so they included one in the box. This black ballpoint pen also has a stylus on the end. It came in a little velvet pouch, but you can slip it right in your journal.
Detroit Grooming Co Cherry Lip Balm $2.00 Detroit Grooming Co is known for their handcrafted beard oils and other grooming products for men. This lip balm is made with natural beeswax and will help protect your lips from the harsh winter weather.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $112.00. This box really seemed to include several items. I really like the socks, but I know my husband will like the journal the most. There are several coupons for February, so it's a great time to subscribe.
