Snacky by Akibento is a new snack subscription from Akibento. Boxes are $15.99/month and come with 5-7 authentic Japanese and Korean snacks. First Look
The information card has a list of everything in the box, along with descriptions.
Samyang Hot Chicken Noodle Snack This looks like the ramen you cook, but it's actually a crunchy noodle. You can add the powder to it for added flavor. This was crunchy and the powder had a spicy BBQ flavor. This is a bit messy to eat, so I would suggest breaking up the snack in the bag, before adding the powder.
Cosmos Tteokbokki Snack This snack is based on a Korean dish, stir fried rice cakes. These snacks were crunchy and sweet. You couldn't really taste the heat until you were done eating them.
Japan Scorn Popular BBQ Flavor Corn Curls These look like Cheetos but have a salty BBQ flavor, mixed with a bit of soy sauce. This was a huge bag, so there was more than enough to share with the family.
CALPRIS Jelly Filled Marshmallow These chewy marshmallows are filled with a lemon jelly. They are great at satisfying your sweet tooth.
Yogurt and Strawberry Hard Candy These little strawberry candies taste like the Acor strawberry candies. My kids really loved these.
Marukawa Melon Gum Each box comes with four little balls of melon gum. I generally eat the whole box at a time.
Final Thought: This subscription had a nice mix of Japanese and Korean snacks. I do wish there were a couple more snacks in the box. The noodle snack was my favorite snack, because it was so unique. If you want to try Snacky by Akibento, use the code Snacky to get $3.00 off your 1st box.
