First Look

The information card gives this month's theme, along with everything in the box, descriptions and relevent scripture. The theme for October is “A Grateful Heart”. Colossions 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. This month, subscribers are encouraged to spend 14 mins a day thanking God for your blessings.

365 Family Dinners & Devotions Cookbook $9.48 The dinner table is an excellent place to combine family time with devotions. This cookbook is set up to feature one recipe for every day of the year. Along with the recipe, is a devotion that your family can discuss. We use dinner time to reflect on our day, pray and come together. This cookbook will be something we use.

This is a look at one of the day/recipes. The recipes are pretty “normal”, so I think my kids will eat many of the foods.

Grateful Heat Ornament $7.50 This ornament was handmade by One Rustic Heart, a super cute shop on Etsy. This specific ornament was made just for this box, so I took an average of two ornaments for the price. You can hang this ornament on your Christmas tree, or you could get a suction cup hook and hang it in the bathroom. This ornament would be a pretty way to remind yourself to be grateful. It came in a little box, so you could also give this as a gift.

Build Your Kingdom Here $11.99 This cd is a mixed tape of different songs. The song Praise Like Fireworks was my favorite song on the cd. It's a fast paced praise and worship song that's works great on my running playlist. A friend recommended praise and worship music for running and he has really worked to make my runs more fun.

Fall Season Card Set $14.95 I am not for sure who made this set of 10 cards, so I used the retail price of last month's card set (they look like the same company). I always needing greeting cards, so I love getting them in subscription boxes. This set includes Thanksgiving and some Christmas cards. I have never sent cards at Thanksgiving, but I am going to select some special family members for the cards in this set.

A Grateful Heart Adult Coloring Book: Color and Give Thanks for God's Abundant Provisions $10.02 As you color this coloring book, you will also get scripture throughout! The pages are beautiful! I would love to sit in my rocking chair outside and color this. Maybe when I get some spare time!

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $51.94! I am really enjoying this subscription. The cd is great for car rides or my running music.
