GlobeIn‘s 2nd theme for the July box is “Adventure”.Boxes are $55.00 month to month and filled with handmade items from all over the world.  I love the quality of the items in my GlobeIn boxes.  You also find out about where each item comes from and who made it. First Look

Each box comes with an information book, which gives details about the products and the artisans who make them.

Drawstring Backpack, Kenya, $25.00 This backpack was made through Wildlife Works in Kenya.  You can gently pull the straps to close the bag at the top.  You can use this as a purse or a tote for small items.  My 5 year old loves taking small toys with him, so I will be giving this bag to him.  The colors work and it's easy to open and close.

Block Print Bandana, India, $14.00 This bandana was made by woodblock printing, which is art form from Rajasthan.  You can use this to protect your face from the sun, sleep mask, water filter and more.

Enamel Travel Mug, India, $12.00 This mug is made of stainless steel and enamel coated.  It reminds me of the metal cups I had growing up. This may not look like it, but it's very light weight, so it's great for backpacking.  Since we camp often, this will go in our camping supplies.

Organic Cotton Socks, Peru and USA $10.00 Due to climate related problems with crops, the cotton in these socks came from Peru instead of Nicaragua. The sock company, Maggie's Organics is committed to fair trade and is giving farmers money to pay for water. The socks are soft and thick, so they will work great on hikes, though I wouldn't wear them if you are hiking in tall grass.

Final Thought: This box had a total value of $61.00. The backpack was my favorite item in the box, and it's something my son will use. The value wasn't huge this month, the items were nice. You can save $10.00 on your first box of a three-month subscription, just use the coupon WELCOME.
