Little Baby Buttercup Hardcover by
Summary: In this delightful love letter to a growing child, Linda Ashman and You Byun celebrate the magic of those fleeting days of early childhood. Their lively read-aloud shows the delight to be found in the world of a toddler. Every day brings new milestones and adventure—and little Buttercup is eager to reach out and experience it all, while her mother is always eager to reach out with a hug. Rhyming text captures a mother and baby's joy in their shared time, and charming paintings make all the moments—both quiet and boisterous—shine.
The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon by Mini Grey $7.00 This book is so cute and was my favorite in the box. This book is about the dish and spoon from the nursery rhyme. They take off and become vauderville stars.
Summary: Mini Grey’s spin on the nursery rhyme classic “Hey diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle” is a love story of sorts that starts when “the dish ran away with the spoon.” In the midst of the Great Depression, Dish and Spoon become rich and famous vaudeville stars—until their taste for the high life puts them in debt to a gang of sharp and shady characters (depicted as evil knives). The cinematic presentation—with a touch of Bonnie and Clyde, a dash of “The Perils of Pauline”—proves that crime doesn’t pay and love conquers all. A visual treat with new details to discover again and again, here is absurd good fun for the whole family.
The Angry Birds Movie: Seeing Red Paperback by
Summary: Red’s angry outbursts have landed him in hot water—and out of a job—more times than he cares to remember. But he must work in order to build his dream nest. How will he ever save up when every job he gets is more awful than the last one? Readers discover what really ruffles Red’s feathers in this 8×8 storybook with full-color illustrations.
Dusty to the Rescue Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue $4.67 This book follows the same story from the movie, plus it has over 50 stickers inside.
Summary: Planes: Fire & Rescue features a quirky crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of wildfire air attack. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous air attack team, including spirited super scooper Lil’ Dipper, heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex–military transport Cabbie, and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as the Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire, and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero. Boys and girls ages 3 to 7 will feel like part of the firefighting action in this full-color storybook featuring more than 50 stickers!
Final Thought: This was a cute month of books. My boys liked the Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon the best. It is such a unique story line! The total value was $26.61, which was low for this box, but still more than the cost of the box. Subscribe and use this link with the code BoxMOM15 to save 15% on your subscription. Your first month will be $8.49, plus the $5 shipping charge.
