First Look
All the items are packed with bubble wrap and information sheets were placed on top. I received two information sheets, because two different variations were sent out.
Information Sheet #1: This information sheet included a Skinnygirl tea for a Keurig machine. When you subscribe, you fill out a profile and indicated if you own a Keurig machine.
Information Sheet #1 This box is for the non-Keurig users, and they were given two different products.
The following items were the same in both boxes.
Mulino Bianco Sfilati $3.99 These are crunchy breadsticks that are seasoned with an Italian blend of seasonings. These are really great right out of the bag, but I dipped them in some marinara sauce. These of course would be great on salads and soups.
Barilla Pesto Sauce $2.99 This sauce is made with Italian cheeses and can be used on pizza or pasta. I don't think my kids will go for a green pasta sauce, so I am going to try to hide it in a pizza.
La Tortilla Factory $2.99 These tortillas are made with white corn and wheat. Each one has 14 grams of whole grain and are free from hydrogenated oils. I made some ham and cheese wraps with these and enjoyed the flavor of the tortilla.
Barilla Farfalle $1.68 I buy farfalle pasta all the time, so I liked getting it in a subscription box. This pasta is made with semolina and durum wheat flour. Cook this up, throw on some sauce and dinner is done.
Mutti Finely Chopped Tomotoes $2.29 I have a few recipes that I can sneak tomatoes in, without my children noticing. This is set for dinner tomorrow night. This can contains 99.8% tomatoes and salt.
Soy Vay Asian Honey BBQ This sauce combines American BBQ sauce, honey and soy sauce. There are only 40 calories in a serving, so I am going to cook up some fresh veggies, and had a couple tsp of sauce.
Mulino Bianco Galletti $2.99 These are wonderful flaky shortbread cookies. They are classified under “breakfast is served” on the information sheet, but they really taste like cookies. They were wonderfully addicting. My family ate these up within days of receiving the box.
Goya Lentil & Vegetable Soup $1.99 This soup is packed with fiber, vitamin A and is gluten free. I enjoy getting food items like this in Degustabox, because this helps complete another meal.
Pure Growth Organic Oatmeal $2.98 Subscribers received wither original, apples & cinnamon, and maple & brown sugar. I am glad I received original because it has o sugar. Just add some blueberries and you have a healthy breakfast. I am not sure if my children will eat this, but I will.
Version 1: Keurig Subscribers
Skinnygirl Mojito Mint $4.99 This is a green tea that's flavored with lime and mint. There are 18 cups in the box.
Version 2: Non-Keurig Subscribers
Chicago Vegan Co Free Gift This was a free gift in the box. These marshmallows are all natural and vegan. My kids enjoyed them and they had no idea they were not the “regular” marshmallows.
Village Harvest $3.29 This whole grain blend of brown Basmati and lentils. This makes a nice side dish to a chicken dish. There were two different variations sent to subscribers.
There were also a few coupons in the box.
Final Thought: Degustabox sent out two great boxes this month. The Keurig box had a total value of $31.88 and the non-Keurig version was $30.18. My favorite foods so far are the shortbread cookeis and the sflati. I can't wait to try the rest of the items this month. I also like that they are doing two different versions, so you won't get products you can't use.
