Bluum April 2017 Review + Customer Service Experience
Bluum is a children's subscription box for ages 0-5.Boxes are $34.00/month and each box is curated based on the age, gender and skill level of your child. Bluum did start a program called Bluum Choice, where you can pick your own items, but that has disappeared from their site.

First Look. As soon as I opened the box, I knew there was a problem. There is always a general bluum card in the box, and all the items should be wrapped in tissue paper. As you can see, my box was missing those items. I will note, I personally subscribe to this box.
Around the World: A Follow-the-Trail Book $6.22 This board book has an indented trail that your child can follow, as you read the book.
The book is very cute, but my son is 5 now, and I think board books are not appropriate. My son is learning sight works and beginning reading skills, he doesn't chew on books anymore. This will end up going to one of my younger nieces or nephews.
Oilogic Bug Bites & Itch Relief Minor Skin Irritation Natural Essential Oil Roll-On $9.99 This is actually a really nice product. This is made with Spearmint Oil, Citronella Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavandin Oil, Chamomile Oil, Lemon Oil. This helps with bug bite iching, and skin irritations. As often as we camp, this will be used.
There was also a coupon for Red Velvet NYC, which is a gourmet bakery that sells baking kits.
Had I received all the items I was supposed to, this would've been a decent box. My box was also supposed to contain a Harborside Cardigan and a water pump. The cardigan would've been saved for fall (if it was the right size), but my son would've loved the water pump and bucket.
Customer Service Experience
I contacted customer service on April 14th, and received a response the same day that two replacement items would be sent out. I didn't receive a shipping notice, so I contacted them on April 26th. I was told they would send a message to the appropriate people, so I will get my items. As of the date of this review, I haven't received a shipping notice, or my items. I am not sure if or when I will receive them at this point. If I do receive them, I will update this review.
Final Thought: I was really disappointed and actually quite mad with this box. I don't see how anyone saw this box with two items, and thought it was complete. Even after contacting customer service, it's been 17 days, and no items. If my previous three boxes hadn't had issues of some sort, I might have been more understanding with this box. The May box will be my last box in my subscription, so we will see what it contains. I recommend checking out my subscription box directory, so you can search for a children's subscription box that meets your needs.
