GlobeIn Greeting Card, 6×4″ $3.00 The card said “To love is to admire with the heart; To Admire is to love with the mind” – Theodore Gautier
Infinity Scarf, Vietnam, 50% Cotton, 50% Silk, 62 x 31″ $28.00 These soft scarf is made from Vietnamese-raised silk by the Binh Minh collective in North Vietnam. The collective is run by 20 families and are able to turn out 5,000 shawls and scarves a month. This scarf is super soft and I love this turquoise color. Boxes come with mustard, turquoise, or magenta colored scarves.
Handblown Wine Glasses, Mexico, Set of 2, 7.5? tall, 11oz capacity $32.00 The glasses are made in Jalisco, by Cristaluc, a glass blower. I love hand blown glass and this glasses are just gorgeous. They are quite heavy, but should be washed by hand or they will break.
Brass Bottle Stopper, South Africa, 2″ $10.00 This bottle stopper is made by the company Roots of Creation. People are paid a fair wage, all while laughing and enjoying each other's company as they work. New people are higher from different employees friends and family.
Floating Necklace, Thailand, Layered semi-precious stones and crystal beads on woven silk thread $36.0 This necklace is very dainty and beautiful. Members of the Akha tribe made this necklace, which is a group of indigenous people in Southeast Asia. Artisans are able to work full or part time, and from home. This lets more people work, while being with their family.
Handwoven Vase, Rwanda, approximately 4.3″ wide x 8.5″ tall $36.00 This vase is made with handwoven sisal and sweet grass. One of the artisans GlobeIn featured was Solange. She was widowed in the 94′ Rwandian genocide and weaving helps relieve her pain, while providing an income.
The vase is pretty tall, 8.5″ and will hold, plants, utensils, flowers and more.
