First Look
There was a little welcome card! I received the two tea plan for review, which sells for $18. Since I didn't pick out my tea, I received The Sommelier.
Earl Grey (Black Tea) This is a classic Earl Grey tea that has some natural flavoring added. Seeping time is 2-3 minutes and the temperature should be 212 degrees Fahrenheit. My husband really enjoys black tea, so this will be a great tea to grab in the mornings. The bag contains 1.75 oz and comes with a resealable bag.
Berry Bananza (Rooibos) This is a blend of Rooibos, pineapple pieces, banana chips, strawberry pieces and flavoring. This tea smells amazing and I don't drink tea. I do wish the there was a bit more perforation, so the bag would tear open a bit easier. This tea was the big winner in the box. My husband loved it and it required no extra sugar or milk. It tastes similar to a fruit infused water. I even liked it!
The three samples came with a card to identify each one.
Tea # 1 Tutti Frutti (Fruit) This tea is a blend of apple pieces, hibiscus, pineapple pieces, papaya pieces, sour cherries, raspberry pieces, strawberry pieces, strawberry pieces and flavoring. This comes from Germany and has a low caffeine level.
Tea #2 Strawberry Shortcake (Green) This tea has pineapple pieces, green tea, flavoring, and strawberry slices. This also comes from Germany and has a low caffeine level.
Tea #3 Winter Orange (Rooibos) This tea has rooibos, orange peel, cloves, cinnamon pieces, natural flavoring. This is caffeine free and comes from South Africa.
Tea Filters There were 5 tea filters in the box.
The free gifts were a “tea” spoon and an infuser.
Final Thought: This was an affordable subscription to try new tea. My husband really enjoyed the Berry Bananza the most. I like you can be surprised, or select your own tea. There is also the $1 box if you want to try some tea. Check out Dollar Tea Club for all their tea subscriptions. Use the coupon sbm219 to save 15%.
