Disclosure: I received this box for review.
Chocococurb is a subscription service devoted to introducing people the best tasting chocolate. Each month Chococurb sends an assortment of personally selected, extraordinary chocolate treats. Chococurb sources their chocolate from both local chocolatiers and national brands.
There are tw0 different subscriptions, the regular box, and mini version. The regular subscription is $35.00/month and comes with 5 to 7 bars of chocolate. The Mini box is $20.00/month and comes with 2-3 bars.
When you find that bar of extraordinary chocolate in your box, you can buy more in their online store. Chococurb is so serious about chocolate, that they have tasting tips posted on their blog. Apparently, you are not supposed to scarf down the bar. For the best chocolate tasting experience, pay attention to the sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste of each piece. For more detailed tips, check out Sarah Benner's article.

What's in the box? Inside each Chococurb box, you'll find assortment of chocolates or chocolate related items. These items can come from small, local chocolatiers to more established, national brands. Every box will have something new, exciting, and absolutely delicious.
Shipping: United States only and there is free shipping.
When does the box ship? Second Monday of the month.
Everything shipped in a plain white box.
The chocolate shipped in an insulated cooler, to prevent melting.
The chocolate was in a Chococurb branded box and placed on ice packs to keep cold.
All the chocolate arrived in a little white box.
Chococurb really doesn't want your chocolate to be damaged, because all the bars were in a bubble envelope, inside the box.
Pitch Dark Jacobsen Pinot Noir Salt Chocolate Bar This bar is made with Willamette valley pinot noir and hand harvested sea salt. This has 73% cacao, making it one of the darkest chocolate bars of the box.
You really don't see the salt until you turn the bar over. I don't think I've had chocolate with so much salt, but it made for a delicious bar.
Dick Taylor Belize Toledo Dark Chocolate Bar This is made with 73% Belize cacao and sugar, using a European process. The bar has a beautiful pattern, but the real treat was the taste. I prefer plain dark chocolate, so ended up being my favorite of the box.
This is a closer look at the pattern on the bar.
Amedei Toscano Blond Chocolate Bar This bar is made with 63% dark chocolate, dried peaches and dried apricots. My husband really enjoyed this one. It's a rich chocolate bar with hints of apricot and peaches.
This is a lighter chocolate than the other bars.
Theo Cinnamon Horchata Milk Chocolate Bar This bar has milk chocolate, cinnamon, crisped rice and crisped quinoa. The texture reminded of a Nestle Crunch, but the taste was far different. I don't remember ever having cinnamon and chocolate together, but it works. This reminded me of a chocolate drizzled churro.
It even looks a bit like a Nestle Crunch bar.
Fran’s Chocolates Macadamia Gold Bar This little bar contains macadamia nuts, caramel and dark chocolate. This was softer than I expected and had a bit more caramel than I preferred. I liked it, but thought it was a bit too sweet.
The bar was about the size of the snack size candy bars.
A look at all the chocolate in the April box.
Final Thought: The April box contained a great combination of flavors. What I really like about this box, is the unique artisan chocolate they send each month. If you really enjoy chocolate, this box may be the one for you. My favorite bar was the Dick Taylor Belize Toledo Dark Chocolate Bar, but I didn't receive a bad bar.
