First Look
The information guide has details about each product and where it's made.
Hand-Painted Bowl, Tunisia $26.00 Some of my favorite items I have received from GlobeIn have been the hand panted pottery pieces. This bowl measures 3.15 x 5.12″ and is great for rolls, fruit or just for decoration.
Organic Volcano Rice, Indonesia $6.00 This rice is grown in volcanic soil and the farmers use the SRI method to grow the rice. This method uses less water and preserves biodiversity using less water, seed, land and no agrochemicals. My rice was inadvertently left out of my box, so GlobeIn sent me a stock photo to post.
Olive Wood Spork, Tunisia $10.00 (Some subscribers received a spoon) This spork is 12″ long and made from Olive Wood through Le Souk Olivique in Tunisia. It's coated in food-safe finishing oil, which contains: mineral oil, paraffin wax, and beeswax. Since I am eating much healthier food, I cook quite often, so I love getting new kitchen tools.
Spice Grinder, South Africa – Moroccan Harissa $12.00 Other subscribers received Hot Rocks Mild. I have pepper and salt grinders, but this is my first spice grinder. This is made through Turqie Trading, which is a food company that creates job opportunities and negotiating fair trades.
GlobeIn Greeting Card, 6×4″ $4.00 Unfortunately, my greeting card was left out of the box.
Palm-Leaf Bottle Basket, Mexico $12.00 This is made by the same artisans who make the palm leaf baskets. This can be used to hold a bottled water, wine or to protects bottles in shipping.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $70.00! This was a beautiful box and the bowl is just stunning! I use my GlobeIn pottery frequently, so I hope they keep sending these type of pieces. GlobeIn is one of my favorite boxes! You can save $10.00 on your first box of a three-month subscription, just use the coupon WELCOME.
