The information card had a list of everything in the box, along with detailed descriptions of each one.
The Zana Hot Sauce Company This sauce was created by Mike, the founder of Fuego Box! This is a healthy hot sauce, because it's made with all organic ingredients. This is made with carrot. water, onion, vinegar, habaneroes, sea salt, cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, onion power, and guar gum. I tried this right out of the bottle and loved it. So far I have added it to chicken and veggies and it tasted great. I don't think it's terribly hot, but my husband thought it was a bit too.
Formosa Jalapeno This is a creamy hot sauce made with water, tomatillos, jalapenos, peppers, vinegar, cilantro, vegetable oil, cumin and spices. This sauce is from the Lopez family, who has been making hot sauce for 30 years. This is perfect for tacos. burritos and seafood. This sauce is also vegan, gluten free, all natural, and free from artificial preservatives.
The Bronx Greenmarket Hot Sauce (Red) This sauce came from a unique source. Small Axe Peppers donated 3.500 to GrowNYC's community partners. After donating the plants, the company then buys back the peppers when they are harvested. This sauce is made from apple cider vinegar, serrano peppers, garlic, onion, sugar and salt. I am really excited to try this one.
Final Thought I was really happy with this month's sauces. The Zana sauce was fantastic and had just the right combination of flavor and spice. I love finding out where each sauce comes from. You can check out Fuego Box with this link and use the coupon CRATE to save $10.00 on your first box. This coupon also works on the single bottle subscription, so you can get a box for under $3.00.
