Julep Maven January 2017 Review
The January 2017 Julep Collection was called “Future Fresh”. There was creme to powder eyeshadow sticks, which all looked amazing. Julep is $24.99/month or $19.99/month with a 3 month subscription. First Look. Instead of squiggles, there was brown paper for packaging.
The theme for January was Future Fresh. There was a card that gave information about the new facial oil and there was a $10 store coupon.
Boost Your Radiance Reparative Rosehip Seed Facial Oil This oil contains Rosehip Seed Oil, which reduces the appearance of fine lines, scars, and hyper-pigmentation. Vitamin E helps protect against dehydration and free radical damage, while Bergamot Oil contains brightening and natural antiseptic benefits. I have started using this, and it moisturizes my face, without making it feel greasy.
1. Use alone by patting a thin layer onto clean skin after toner.
2. Mix a few drops into your moisturizer to give it a reparative hydration boost.
3. Mix a drop into your liquid foundation to create a more radiant finish.
Katherine Boho Glam Portobello Mushroom Crème I forgot to customize my box this month, so I got the default box for my profile. I really don't care for this color, but it's better in person.
Yulia Boho Glam Turquoise Sheer Iridescent Shimmer I am really loving this color. This is a beautiful color and I love the iridescent look.
These are two swatches of the colors. They are swatches on paper, so they are a bit more dull than they would appear on nails.
The bonus candy this month was a Tootsie Roll Pop! This will go to one of my kids.
Final Thought: While I forgot to customize my box, I thought it was pretty good. I didn't care for Katherine, but the face oil and Yulia are great picks. Julep is a great subscription because you can customize your boxes, skip boxes, so you are always happy with your box. Just set a remember to customize your box, so you don't forget like I did.
