The Collectors Case is a new geek and gamer box that sends a themed collectors case with a t-shirt and other themed fantom items for $25.00/month. The Collectors Case likes to shake things up, so they send autograph pictures and bonus FUNKO Pops in random boxes! Each case is value at over $60.00.
The Details:
Cost: $25.00/month, 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions also available
What's in the box? Each box comes with a themed collectors case with a t-shirt and other themed fantom items. Some case will also include bonus autographs and FUNKO Pops.
My box arrived by FedEx and was packed with stuff.
First Look
Dr. Emmett Brown : Funko POP! x Back to the Future Vinyl Figure $17.43 This is selling for $17 – $21 on Amazon, so I am happy to get this in a subscription box. Dr Brown is holding the remote for the DeLorean. I love Back to the Future and have a few of them in my collection. I don't think I have this one yet though!
Pop! Marvel: Guardians of the Galaxy – Cosmo Vinyl Figure! $10.09 I love Cosmo and it helps he looks like my dog. Cosmo is wearing his Soviet Union astronaut uniform and helmet. This FUNKO is also a bobble head!
Back to the Future OUTATIME game $14.41 The object of this game is to roll and get 1.21 gigawatts before the other player. I think this looks really fun! Perfect for a family game night.
Christopher Lloyd Autograph Not all cases come with an autograph, but I was sent one for my review. There were three different scene sent out with Christopher Lloyd's autograph. My husband and I are still discussing who gets to display this in their office.
The picture comes in a hard plastic case with a Certificate of Authenticity included.
Beckett Non-Sport Update Magazine $4.99 This magazine covers non-sport collector cards from the 1980's to today. This issue is Volume 27 No. 6 and covers Star Wars Rogue One.
FUNKO Clear Plastic Case $1.00 It's hard to see, but there was a clear case you can store your extra special FUNKOs in.
The Flux T-Shirt $15.00 est This is one of my favorite geeky shirts I have received lately. Too bad this is for my husband. The shirt features the blueprint/drawing of the flux capacitor, which is what makes time travel possible.
Garbage Pail Kids Minikins $5.00 for 2 These totally take me back to my childhood. I preferred the regular Cabbage Patch Kids, but my brother collected Garbage Pail Kids Cards. Each pack came with two figures and two stickers. I received Eerie Eric, Michelle Munch, Mark Bark and Spacey Stacy.
There was also The Collectors Case button.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $67.92, not including the autograph. This was one one my favorite geek subscription boxes in the last few months. I love the Back to Future items the most. If you want to subscribe, just use this link.
Spoilers
There will be items in upcoming cases featuring Veronica Taylor (Pokemon) and Jack Gleeson (Kings). I am assuming these will be upcoming autographs. There is also a new “POPPED” case that features 4 of the latest FUNKO POP Vinyl figures and a Funko t-shirt.
