Bluum December 2016 Review + 50% Coupon

Bluum is a children's subscription box for ages 0-5.Boxes are $34.00/month and each box is curated based on the age, gender and skill level of your child. Bluum now lets your customize your box (Bluum Choice) and pick everything in your box. Check out my post here for details. Here is how Bluum Choice works:
Under your child, selec”choose product”.
At the top of your screen, you will see your child's name, four boxes and a drop down box.
You can choose from the following categories: Food, Books, Safety, Nesting, Potty Training, Clean Up, Health and Wellness, On the Go, Bedtime and Naptime, Playtime, Getting Dressed, Feeding Accessories, Bathtime, Change Time, Media.
As you pick items, the choices change.

Since I let Bluum select my items, I was really curious what I would receive.
Totspot Hands Free Childcare Light with Lanyard $9.99 This clips on your clothing or hangs around your neck and is a little flashlight when your hands are full. I really love this, but I received in my February box this year. Since I had it already, I was disappointed to get it again.
Melissa & Doug Lace and Trace Shapes $8.49 This box contains cards representing pizza, a stop sign, cracker, kite and an orange. There are 5 laces to go with the cards. We are working on T's fine motor skills, so this will be a great Christmas present.
ZingAnything Kid Zinger – Blue $12.99 This water bottle lets you squeeze your own fresh fruits and store ice in the bottom. There is a mesh filter in the middle to prevent bits from getting chunks of fruit from getting in your water. This really is cool and if my son doesn't like it, I will use it.
The base unscrews easily, ready to squeeze your fresh fruit.
Melissa & Doug Door Sign $7.99 My emailed information card says I should've received a decorate your own monster truck, but apparently they ran out and sent this. While I love Melissa and Doug items, I was disappointed they selected a pink and purple door sign for my 4 year old boy. Granted my 4 year old likes pink and purple, but this is pretty feminine. I did call Bluum about the door sign and the repeated light and they are sending me a bonus item next month and gave me some points for the shop.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $39.46. I really liked the lace and trace toy and the water bottle. I am sure one of my children or husband will use the light and the name sign will make a great gift.
