Home Chef is a home meal subscription that is $9.95/person per meal. One of the really unique features of Home Chef is their huge menu. Each week there is over 10 meals to choose from. You can pick your regular meals and then add-on shakes and breakfast items. If you have read my reviews, you know I am a really picky eater, though I didn't have any problem selecting my meals for review. Home Chef can also accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free diets.
When you sign up, you fill out a short profile and Home Chef will give you recommendations, although you can select any meal you wish. Shipping is free for orders over $40.00 and you can skip any week you want. You can also select the day your box is delivered (Tues-Fri).
The Details:

What's in the box? Each box comes with your selected meals, all packaged so your food stays fresh.
Note: We ordered the two plate box, so each meal made two meals. There is so much food, there is always enough to share with our two small children. If you have older kids (mine are 4 and 7), you probably want the 4 plate box.

All the food is packed with ice packs. I have never had trouble with Home Chef's packaging.
Chicken Quesadillas with Sour Cream and Pico de Gallo One of the reasons I selected this dish, was my 4 year old. Quesadillas are one of the few foods he will eat!
Everything arrived fresh!
This dish was very easy to prepare. You cook the ingredients, then place the completed quesadilla in the oven with a pan on top to keep them flat. I didn't include picture of cooking the meal, because generally I am trying not to burn the meal. Sour cream was included with the meal, I just didn't include it in the pictures.
This dish was really tasty. This dish made four quesadillas, so there was plenty of food. I only included two in the photos. The chicken was cooked with taco seasoning, so it was something my children really liked. The pico was also surprisingly good. I typically don't eat it, but I have really been trying to broaden my taste preferences.
Chimichurri Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Tomatoes As always, we have to select the steak option. Steak is an expensive meat and it's one that most of my family loves.
The ingredients.
We had several meals to cook this week, so we decided to have this for lunch over the weekend. The steak was so juicy and the chimichurri really added to the flavor. The potatoes are always popular with the kids, just add ketchup.
This is a closer look at the meal. This was the best lunch of my week.
Final Thought: Another week, another set of tasty dishes. This is my favorite meal subscription. There is always enough food to share with my kids (granted they are small). The steak was my favorite meal and I was thrilled my 7 year old loved chimichurri. If you want to try Home Chef, use this link to save $30.00 on your 1st box.
