Bramble Box chose a Thanksgiving theme for the November 2016 Bramble Box.
Bramble Box is a play subscription box for children 3-7 years old. Each box is $25.00/month and boxes are filled with dramatic play materials. Boxes have specific themes, like post office, detective, and scientist.
When you sign up, you will get a welcome kit with a pack of crayons, glue and sticker book. Instead of being surprised each month, you can now pick your box each month for up to 6 months.

Bramble Box ships in a fun looking box. We save our boxes each month to store our supplies.
First look. The theme for this month's theme was “Happy Thanksgiving”. The sticker on the inside of the lid goes in the book from your “welcome kit”. In this box, your child will make a Thanksgiving Turkey, rainstick, dream catcher and play with a thanksgiving meal,
The Story of the Pilgrims This story tells the commonly told story of the first Thanksgiving. My oldest son just finished learning about it in school, so he was able to read this book to my 4 year old.
How to Make A Turkey Your child will make a turkey with the parts, then write what he or she is thankful for on the feathers. My 4 year old did a similar activity at school and he said he was thankful for candy! One note about the review. We didn't get a chance to do the crafts yet, but we plan to do them on Thanksgiving with family.
Rainsticks The instruction card for this crafts has two sides. The first side gives a description of the history of rainsticks. Bramble Box suggests talking with your child about desert environments, and Native American culture and history. Your child can also do their own chanting rain dance with their completed rainstick. The other side of the card includes instructions for making the rainstick. Once completed, your child can decorate it with stickers.
Dreamcatchers My 7 year old has a dreamcatcher and he loves it. There was a card about dreamcatchers with tips on what to do with them. Your child can hang their dreamcatcher in their bedroom while talking about Native American culture and history. This craft is a bit more difficult than the others, because it involves more fine motor skills, a great activity for my 4 year old.
Dinner While you are cooking dinner, your child can create their own with this laminated placemat and dinner. Parents are encouraged to cut out the food for their little one. This will end up being stored in my children's toy kitchen.
The back of the main placemat has a layout of a dinner setting, You child can practice setting their place setting and then set the rest of the table.
Final Thought: This was a cute box. I like the craft activities in this box and it fit with the theme. I am sure my 4 year old will have fun making all the crafts. and playing with the dinner plate.
