When you open the information guide, there is a list of materials in the box. There is also a breakdown of each activity with information about the messiness and parental involvement needed for each activity.
Build Your Rocket Launcher: Messiness (Low), Grownup Involvement (Medium).
This activity had many different pieces. My son was really excited the rocket launcher pad.
The first part of the project was to build the base to the rocket launcher. These instructions were easy to follow and the base turned out to be very sturdy.
Assembling the rocket launcher.
The build was a combination of cardboard and wooden pieces. This is what the finished base looks like.
Make Your Rockets
There were straws included to make rockets for your rocket launcher.
These were also very simple to assemble. You did have to fold the fins carefully, attach to the rocket, then add a stopper to the end.
This is the finished project! There were four rockets and the rocket launcher.
Blast Off!
This was the best part of the project…..THE LAUNCH!
We set up in the driveway.
I couldn't get a good action shot, but this was after the launch. The rocks went around 20-40 ft, which was pretty impressive. Both of my boys took turns with this.
Fly A Kite: Messiness (Low), Grownup Involvement (Medium).
The second activity was to make and fly your own kite.
There were enough materials to make two kits. There was also a set of markers.
L got to work designing his kites.
These are his finished kites.
There wasn't much wind, but L had fun running the kite all over the yard.
This box was packed with fun materials to play with.
Final Thought This was one of my son's favorite Kiwi Crates. The finished rocket projects has received hours or play. I also love the project encourages kids to get out and play. The projects turned out sturdy, so they won't fall apart during play. If you want to subscribe, you can save 30% on your 1st box, just use the code BOXMOM30.
