First Look
Hand-Dyed Jewelry Roll, Malaysia $30.00 This jewelry roll was made with the mangosteen fruit for the dying process, called Batik. This jewelry roll was made by a group of women who get life skills and a steady income thanks to this product.
The inside is well designed, with places for necklaces and a large zipper for bigger pieces. I have been needing to buy a jewelry roll in the next couple of month, so this came at a great time.
Pure Cosmetic Argan Oil 30ml, Morocco $18.00 This argan oil was made through The Argan Project, which send the argan fruits right to the homes of women, so they can work and manage their household. I love using argan oil on my hair, but you can use this moisturizing oil most anywhere: skin, nails, etc.
Shibori Scarf, India $25.00 This scarf uses Shibori, to create this scarf. Shibori is based out of Japan and uses sewing, folding and binding to dye fabric in different shapes. We received a scarf using the same method in the May 2016 box. This scarf was made through Matr Boomie, which is an organization that gives economic opportunities to Muslim women in India.
Palm Leaf Basket, Mexico $12.00 GlobeIn gives subscribers the opportunity to get one of these beautiful woven baskets, or choose a featured products that month. These are great for wrapping presents or storage around the home.
Final Thought This box had a total value of $85.00. I love the scarf and the jewelry the most and I can see myself using them frequently.
