I love GlobeIn's pretty green boxes.
First Look. There is an information booklet included in the box, with descriptions of each product.
Neem Wood Spice Bowl, India $15.00 This is my favorite item in the box. This was made by Rabindranath and his wife Nila, through The Village Experience. The Village Experience works to help international trade, to improve areas economically. This little bowl can be used for spices, or any small little treasures. I am personally using it for my watches.
Here is a look inside the bowl. I love the finished edges of the bowl. Everything has been sanded and finished to feel smooth. The lid is finely crafted and fits flush with the bowl. The back of the information guide contained a recipe for homemade Garam Masala, using this little bowl,
Salt & Pepper Shakers, Palestinian Territories $20.00 These salt and pepper shakers are just so cute and they match my fancy set of dishes. The floral design is from Palestinian heritage and has been hand painted by Abd Jabari. He works for Hebron Glass, which employs 60 artisans. The bottom of each shaker has a little rubber stopper, so these are easy to fill.
Hand-Painted Spoonrest, Palestinian Territories $18.00 This is made through the same organization as the salt and pepper shakers, Hebron Glass.
Ilocano Asin Sea Salt Phillippines As part of the many benefits of GlobeIn's subscription, subscribers had a choice of this little woven basket with sea salt, or the tradition palm leaf basket. This little basket is made with the rombion plant on the island of Cabilao. Inside, there is a pack of ilocana asin sea salt, which is harvested right from the Luzon sea. This salt has hollow crystals and flaky, crunchy texture.
As with most tiny little boxes and baskets I received, this little woven basket has been snatched by my 7 year old for his rock collection.
Final Thought: This box had a total value of $65.00. The Savour items will really work well in my kitchen. I really would love two of the bowls, so I might have to purchase another one in the GlobeIn shop. You can save $10.00 on your first box of a three-month subscription, just use the coupon GLOBEMOM10. OR Get a FREE Picnic Box with a purchase of a 3-month or longer Artisan Box subscription, just use the code FREEPICNIC.
