Book of the Month is a book subscription box that sends a brand new book for as low as $10.47/month.
On the first of the month, you log into your account and choose between five different books, picked out by Book of the Month Judges. There are authors, editors and more on the judging panel. There is also one guest judge each month. You must make your selections by the 14th, or Book of the Month will pick for you.
Once you make your book selection, you can add up to two books to your account for $9.99/each. Once you get your book, you can log into your account and join the discussions.

First Look.
The book comes wrapped in plastic, so the corners won't get damaged.
Rich & Pretty by Rumaan Alam This book is about two adult friends (Sarah and Lauren), who have been friends since childhood. The book steps in as Sarah is a popular socialite that works at a charity and is planning a wedding. Lauren is an independent woman working in publishing. The book looks at how relationships grow and change over time.
Missing, Presumed by Susie Steiner Manon Bradshaw is police officer who works long hours at her job. One night she listens to the police scanner and hears about a missing graduate student. The book follows Manon and her search for answers to this case.
Love That Boy by Ron Fournier This book is about a father and his son Tyler through road trips, and meeting presidents. The book explores parental expectations, child development and acceptance. It looks like a great book and I think this might be the first one I read.
Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel When Rose was a young girl, she fell in a square hole and was found in a giant metal hand, surrounded by intricate carvings. As an adult, she is a physicist and is working on find the answers behind this metal hand.
The Girls by Emma Cline This book is a story of a girl Evie, who gets enthralled with Suzanne, a member of a cult. Slowly, Evie gets deeper and deeper into the cult. This book explores what happens next and the choices Evie makes.

Regardless of the book selected, subscribers received a twisty straw, bookmark, picture card with directions to win a 3 month subscription and a summary card from the judge of the book.
Tote Bag and Sunglasses If you subscribe for 3 months, you will get this huge BOTM tote and sunglasses.
The other side of the tote has “Book of the Month” written on the side.
The tote has a flat bottom and holds a good deal of stuff. The straps are wide, so I was able to carry all the books from July, without hurting my shoulder.
The sunglasses have Book of the Month written on the side. They are made of thick plastic and seem pretty sturdy.
Final Thought: I really like the selections for July's Book of the Month. My favorite books from this month (without reading them) are: Love That Boy by Ron Fournier , The Girls by Emma Cline and Missing, Presumed by Susie Steiner. Want to subscribe?
