Fuego Box is a hot sauce of the month club that sends craft and small-batch hot sauces. Fuego Box sends truly tasty and dynamic sauces, and they refuse to send “insane heat, gimmicky labeling, and extract-based sauce”
When you subscribe to Fuego Box, you will get a special introductory box with a mini-tasting notebook, 2 full-sized sauces, and a few samples (Read the Introductory Box Review Here). Your 2nd box and on includes 3 full-sized hot sauces.
There are three different subscription plans:
- 3 Hot Sauces per Month: $29.95
- 3 Hot Sauces per Quarter $29.95
- 1 Hot Sauce per Month $12.95 ($5.00 shipping)
Fuego Box ships in a priority mail envelope.
Fuego Box ships all three bottles in a little brown box.
First Look. All the bottles ship together, but are packed well. I have never had a broken bottle.
The information card lists details about each bottle, where it comes from and what foods to use with it.
The Bronx Greenmarket Hot Sauce This sauce was created by famous chef, King Phojanakong. GrowNYC and Small Axe Peppers. This is a sauce right out of the Bronx! You can try this on just about anything: steal, chicken, fish, egg sandwiches and more.
Isabel Street Heat Fatalii Hot Sauce It takes extensive steps to make this sauce. The fatalii peppers are grown above the Wabasha Caves in St Paul, MN, then are later fermented over the course of months. This sauce is said to be very spicy, so use sparely. You can add this to salad dress or to boiling water to cook bratwurst.
Jersey Barnfire's Black Garlic Hot Sauce This sauce is made with black garlic (which I didn't know existed). This is described as having a “balanced heat”, which makes it a good sauce for a variety of meats and veggies.
Final Thought: This was an interesting box! Every month, there are there new bottles of hot sauce. I love learning where each of these bottles come from and how they were developed.
