BowTieMeDown is bowtie of the month subscription based out of Austin, Tx. For $19.99/month, you will get a handmade bowtie in new and unique fabrics each month. Each bowtie is handcrafted in the USA and is adjustable. Instead of going to large fabric companies, BowTieMeDown sources their fabric from vintage stores and other unique places.

BowTieMeDown ships in a polymailer envelope and ships by Priority Mail.
The bowtie came in a plastic case, to prevent damage during shipment. You can also use the pouch to store your bowtie, when you are not wearing it.
Stripped Bowtie: I received a cotton bowtie with brown, teal and white stripes. The fabric is lightweight and the colors work for summer or fall. Bowties are one of those unique accessories that can be dressed up or down. I like that the bowtie is pre-tied, so anyone can wear these!
The bowtie was finely crafted, I notice there were no loose threads or frayed edges, The bowtie has an adjustable band and it fastens with metal clasps.
Final Thought: Since the bowties are handmade, I couldn't look up the retail value, but I think $19.95 (free shipping) is a very fair price for a well made bowtie. I have a limited background in sewing, but I can appreciate the time and effort it takes to find the right fabric and sew something. This could be the perfect Father's Day gift too!
