First Look
Everything was packed very well.
The information book has detailed information about everything in the box.
Hanging Wall Organizer, Peru $30.00 In the village Wanchaq, disabled residents struggle to make a living. ASWAN came to the village and is helping people with jobs, education and social integration. Freddy Flores makes these people wall organizers by sewing with one hand and moves the petal with the other.
This is a close up view at the different textiles used in the organizer. I love the different colors.
The organizer folds flat, so you could take this with you on a trip. I think I am going t use this in my craft closet to organize my children's supplies.
Organic Dish Cloths (Set of Two), India $10.00 We received these in a past box and I was happy to get more. I currently use my as scrubbers in my kitchen with my Honest Company Cleaner.
These are all handmade through the Tookie knitting co-op and each artist signs their name to back.
Fair Trade Surface Cleaner, Ghana/India $5.00 The perfect addition to the scrubbers was this eco-friendly cleanser. This is hypoallergenic, biodegradable and made with palm & coconut oils. All the palm and coconut oils come from small scale farming alliance in Ghana and India.
Kitchen Towel, Turkey $12.00 This is just like the body towel we received in January, only smaller. This is super absorbent towel was made in Buldan through the Atlas group. Hatice is one of the few women that can use the weaving machine and make the fringes.
Upcycled Container, Cambodia $10.00 Instead of the beautiful woven basket normally in baskets. I received a great upcycled container from Cambodia. Note: some subscribers received the woven baskets. This is like the large upcycled I received in another GlobeIn box. You can use this container for cleaning supplies, makeup, or again, take it to store you items in while traveling. If you have noticed a travel them in my review, it's because I just got back from vacation and really miss it!
Final Thought: The total value of the box was $67.00. I really loved this box, probably because I have been doing some serious spring cleaning myself. I spent a good deal of the weekend purging things that I no longer need, so this box came at a great time. You can save $10.00 on your first box of a three-month subscription, just use the coupon WELCOME.
