What's in the box? Each box comes with 6 cookies, brownies, and other sweet treats.
The box shipped from Canada and arrived in great condition!
First Look. There was a fork tapped to the inside lid. You literally can open the box and start eating!
There was an information card on top.
The back of the card listed everything in the box, a description and the “best before” date. Note, this review was received before the “best before” date, but a family illness prevented me from publishing earlier.
There was a general card about Bakers Krate and a page with the full list of ingredients in every treat. I love it when companies include a list of ingredients in their boxes for handmade food items.
White Chocolate Roll Cake in Jar (Roll Cake Baker) Now you know why the fork was included! This velvet cake is layered with white chocolate icing and ready to eat. My husband took this to work and it came back empty!
Heart Sugar Cookie (High Tea Bakery) I love sugar cookies, so this was the first thing I had to try. The cookie was iced and decorated with white and red dollops. The cookie was fresh, sweet and not too dry.
Chocolate and Red Velvet Cakette (Cake-ology Cakes) I have always wanted to make cake balls, but I should probably master a real cake before trying to make them in fancy ball form. I tried the chocolate one, and it was moist and rich in chocolate flavor. My husband tried the red velvet and reported that it was fantastic.
Chocolate Caramel Delight (Goodies Bake Shop) Wow, this was my favorite treat in the box. This has a layer of shortbread, topped with caramel and then a layer of chocolate, This was really rich and the layer of shortbread was so good.
Mini Heart Shaped Imperials (High Tea Bakery) These were made by the same company as the sugar cookie. These cookies are filled with a jam in the middle and covered in icing. I had to resist and only eat one.
Final Thought This was a really great box and I like trying new desserts from Canada.
