Okashi Connection Review October 2015

Okashi Connection is a Japanese snack box that ships worldwide for $22.00/month.   Each box is packed with about a pound of candy.  Okashi Connection changed their boxes this month and now includes an information booklet, complete with descriptions and pictures.

Coming soon, there will be three different size boxes: The Ninja Box, The Samuri Box, and The Sumo Box.  The Ninja Box is a bit smaller than the box I am reviewing here.  The Samurai Box is the same size as the box I am reviewing and the The Sumo Box is much larger than this box.

The Details:

Cost: $22.00

Shipping:  Shipping is FREE and they ship WORLDWIDE.  They don't ship to a few locations, click HERE to see a complete list.

What's in the box? They send a size 60 box with around a pound (between 400-600 grams) of Japanese candy and snacks. We strive to include things that are difficult or impossible to get outside of Japan and seasonal items. We also include some information about the candy, as well as a video, hosted by Karin (13) and Haruka (11), with their opinions and instructions on how to make / eat the items.

When am I charged?   Your card will be charged on the 30th (or last day) of the month.

When does my box ship? Boxes will be shipped within the next week after being charged, and they should arrive at your door within 1-3 weeks after that.

Okashi Connection ships in a cute little box,

Okashi Connection comes with a beautiful brochure filled with the snacks in the box.

This is a look inside the brochure.

Saya Endou Chips: These are puffy chips with a salty pea flavor.

Country Ma'am Cranberry Cookies  These are individually wrapped cookies that are almost pastries.  The soft cookie is filled with bits of cranberries.

Fettuccine Gummi Italian Peach: These fettuccine noodle looking gummies are flavored with juicy peach.  These were fantastic and I love that the bag is resealable.

Strawberry Rangudosha Cookies: These cookies are packaged in 3-4 cookies in a little package.  The cookie is thin and has a slight strawberry taste.  Interestingly, the word “Rangudosha” means cat tongue in English.

Mi No Naru Shake:  This DIY kit has you make gummie berries and then you dip them in a fluffy, foaming pudding.

Big Thunder: I think this is a bonus treat, as it wasn't listed in the guide.  This is a chocolate covered wafer cookie.  It was really good, but I tasted a bit of coconut in it.

Anpanman Chocolate Lollipop  This is a famous cartoon character, whose head is made of bread.  For this treat, his head is made of chocolate.

Big Bar Z Kinako This is a big thick treat that is almost like a thick puffy Cheetos. This is sweet, but it a bit bitter.  C said it really had more of a peanut butter taste.

Tomato Pretz: These pretzel sticks are covered in a tomato powder.  These are my husband's favorite.

Strawberry and Chocolate Pocky: These cookie sticks are dipped in strawberry and chocolate icing.

Mini Bottle Cider: This little plastic bottle is filled with little ramune balls.  This was really tasty.

Felix and Doraemon Gum: These little boxes are filled with four gumballs each.  Felix is strawberry and Doraemon is cola flavored.

Final Thought: I always looking forward to my Okashi Connection box, because the snacks are always fantastic.  Okashi Connection is affordable and a fun box to receive.  If you want to Okashi Connection,  click HERE to subscribe and use the code Boxmom to get $1.00 off your box.
